I'm still nervous about flashing. Help me please?

Hey guys,

I'm currently at work, thus giving me the opportunity to scour the site all night so far, and I'm currently thinking about flashing to Juicy 6, to get in on some of that Rhodium Manilla action. It looks so delicious. But I am also on Alltel. And I have looked and searched all over the site to try to find out how to make a ROM work for a specific carrier, and all I can seem to find is Sprint (which seems to be the default around here. lol) and Verizon. I know Alltel was bought by Verizon and they are currently doing the conversion. But I know my area network is still Alltel. And I really want Juicy 6, but I'm afraid my phone won't work with just flashing the ROM.

What do I need to do to get it to work on Alltel? I've searched for "carrier cabs" because I think I saw that mentioned somewhere. But that just came up with "carrier cabs" by DCD for the Titan. I have a Touch Pro. I'm thinking those won't work.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, and the thanks button will definitely be pushed.

P.S. I love everything this site has done for me so far, keep up the great work guys! I look forward to my first time flashing.

I might be wrong but I believe juicy makes his from a non carrier specific kitchen. So regardless of your carrier you should be good. I have a Sprint TP and flashed his ithout a carrier cab and had no issues.

honestly, the best thing to do is to ask juicy yourself... chances are he'll either help you or atleast know someone who can. send him a PM or just go to his rom thread and leave him a question... 99% of the guys who take the time to build these roms for us, will take the time to help someone interested in their rom.

Yes - but you must install the Arcsoft MMS cab for Alltel to get MMS to work.

Alltell ARCSoft MMS 5.0.69.44

Other than that, I am loving Juicy and TF3Dv2!

Also recomended: Cab Via Activesync shell menu addon which makes installing cab files a snap:

Go for the flash!!! I am not good at this stuff, but I read a little and I was off and running. It's really pretty simple when you read and put the wheels into motion...Good luck!

Re: I'm still nervous about flashing. Help me please?

Thanks guys! I just feel like a moron going over to the already HUGE thread for the ROM itself. I feel as though my question would get lost in the flood of "thank you's". But I'm gonna take your advice gammarho55 and send Juicy a message. Never hurts to ask right?

One other thing to consider.
Warning: Once you start flashing, you won't be able to stop...

Seriously, once you unlock your device, you are good to go.

+1 on this. All of my ROMS are saved even in my email so if I go to a friends and they have a different phone or are looking for lil something extra it's all in my email and on my SD card.
