if you're anything like most of us here, even tho you love it, it'll last about 3 days (tops) before you want to try another one... and thus the addiction begins :P
if you like juicy, try starROM... it's TF2 and 6.5 in one... best of both worlds :P
i currently like copper, personally

Re: I'm still nervous about flashing. Help me please?

hey do you know why TF would restart when I try to open text messages? either in the contact card OR from the text messages tab. It never opens the messages, and restarts TF from scratch. Like "launching Touch Flo 3D" screen.

A HUGE thank you goes out to Strra for helping me out at 5 in the morning over IM to get my problems fixed. Thank you so much Strra! I wish I could hit the thanks button more than once.

Thats how the community is. Glad your first flash went well. And like previously mentioned. Now that you did it once your gonna be hooked. Your gonna be trying alot of the others on here.

Re: I'm still nervous about flashing. Help me please?

A quick suggestion of mine would be to save the.cabs you loaded onto your phone so if you have any other problems or are reflashing to another ROM, you will have the .cabs that fixed your problem or the.cabs that you liked. It's a lot easier to save the .cabs then to search the whole forum for them.

Re: I'm still nervous about flashing. Help me please?

This is a must.

Just make a \CABS folder on your SD card and start loading it up.

Then if you really start shaking, and loosing your mind every two days because you haven't flashed

You will want to try start playing with UC or Shashimi...Which installs all said cabs right after a flash, set's up your e-mail, restores your PIM.vol, etc.

After my Flash is done, my phone just works. It's awesome!

Then you don't worry so much when Juicy starts updating his ROM every other day, or KK comes out with a new one, then MIghty comes out and you want to check it out...

It's just bad...

Ooo, I think I'm starting to shake a little bit, I heard someone mention copper, I think I need to install that one today, leave Juicy 6 be for a day or two.

Re: I'm still nervous about flashing. Help me please?

So let me get this straight:

- Backup stock image using Sprite backup. The stock right now is slow and buggy, but this will save my contacts, photos, messages as well as all the applications i have.
- I flash my htc touch pro
- I install juicy's rom
- I reload the backup, and all of my contacts, photos, messages and programs i have downloaded are back on my htc, without the lagginess and bugs associated with the original stock rom?

Please let me know if i am correct, thanks.

In a nutshell...yes. The ROM's here don't have the quirkiness of a stock ROM. And restoring information is just that simple.
