mightyROM PP8 update:

Flashed mightyrom 4.16 with a PP of 8 and works outstandingly!! switches orientation very snappy. facebook, album, activesync, opera, google maps, and messaging open and i have 38% percent memory free. And on the vzw tp thats outstanding for that many apps open!

But, on every ROM i've tried theres keyboard lag! whats up with that??

I always found a PP of 8 to be a tad twitchy. I'm rolling with a 12MB PP right now on MightyROM, thinking about testing out a 6MB, but in all honesty, I have yet to experience an out of memory error, so I remain decidedly unconcerned.

After testing various pagepools from 6 up to 16 I ended up sticking with 6. It gave me the least amount of memory management trouble while multitasking and I've had no speed issues. Verizon's stock ROM also uses a pp of 6. Just remember, any amount of RAM doesn't save you from saturating the CPU processing so don't just open a ton of things and leave them open and think it's only a RAM issue. Close what you don't use (you can set the X to do this every time) and you'll have no trouble. Also turn off the dialer to save an additional 10MB.

oldpueblo>> Thanks for the tip. its flashing to mightyrom with pp6. Verizon totally screwed up this phone. I'm sad to say it, but i'm going to the iPhone in june or july.
