gotta love kinetic scrolling =) - that's the #1 reason why I'm on 6.5 for good
Thank you for this valuable input. Why is this not important to some people? I hate the stylus! Someone was talking about usability earlier in this thread. Well, there it is.

I'm a bit confused. I thought I already had kinetic scrolling on 6.1? Like flicking up and down your contacts right?

Don't want to sound like a hater, but running Mightymike's 4.16 I hardly ever pull out the stylus or click on the wrong things. 6.1 base is probably not finger friendly, but with all the enhancements it has received (rhodium) it is plenty finger friendly to me. And no I don't have little fingers.

Re: WM 6.5 Is it worth it?

With kinetic scrolling the scroll speed and distance depends on the force/speed you flick the screen. TF3D menus (like the programs menu) does this although not as smooth as it could be.

So your saying that kinetic scrolling exist in both 6.1 and 6.5 but 6.5 is smoother and more accurate?

No, only in the TF3D menus. ie; programs list. 6.5 has system wide kinetic scrolling. 6.1 only has 2(?) speeds? Slow and flick to the bottom/top.

6.1 doesn't appear to have ANY sort of native kinetic scrolling support. Everything that I've seen appears to be provided by TF3D. As soon as you get to a non-TF3D app, the scrolling is utterly terrible. No inertia, accidental clicks, accidental text selection. It's just bad.

Not by default, but you can add it in.

Re: WM 6.5 Is it worth it?

Copper ROM is great for what it is, Just a beta. Yes, created by 2 of the most popular chefs around. But lets be honest. Alot of us are having more issues than we like to mention, out of respect I guess.

There isn't a many reliable cabs out for 6.5 yet, its all Trial and Error right now.

With that said.... Its obviously the direction Microsoft is going in....Its like transitioning from XP to Vista... Ugly at first, now its dependible but still waiting for windows7 to close the deal.

So the way I see it.... YOu can either join the fun. Install Copper0.0.0.1 and learn along with everyone on tweaks and configurations....

Or sit back for a few months and wait till the more complete and stable ROMS are fully cooked.

For myself. I am gonna get as much experience with wm 6.5 as I can. Trying to keep the pace....

Re: WM 6.5 Is it worth it?

i would say no
just flashed to copper, and did the new rhodium tf3d from xda.
i do like the added features to tf3d, but WM6.5 is a joke. it's yet another TINY improvement. seriously, they changed a menu, ???
that's basically it
6.5 is like 6.1, which was just 6.0 with threaded text messages
and 6.0 was basically 5.0
all because they can't finish up windows mobile 7.

the 'new' features are probably not worth the bugs, lag, alpha status just yet
