Re: WM 6.5 Is it worth it?
Well I have to laugh because most people who say it is blazing fast are the same ones who said 6.1 was blazing fast when it was a Spec Rom...
Guys before you say how fast you think it is try loading it up with the same amount of crap you had installed in your 6.1 ROM... What you have to realize is the ROMs your running are blazing fast because most are CLEAN ROMS with minimal apps installed! Any OS is going to be blazing fast under those conditions. And racing to crash is not really all that important to me... I want stability...thats why I have been running Mighty's roms on my TP. I'm sure he will get his colab with Juicy stable at some point too... Some guys talk about the stone ages but what they do is live in OS infancy... Add all the time you have to wait after a reset of a buggy OS and you'll find all that speed isn't so fast when you want to do something... It will be a great OS once the genius' on this site and XDA remove all of MS's mistakes from it.... But stop telling people they are stupid or should run 5.0 just because they don't have your flash and reset fetish! Some of us actually need to USE the phone on occassion! 6.5 will be good once it's finished... It's ain't finished yet! I am hoping between Mighty and Juicy putting their heads together they will actually make it useable without having to flash every week and reset every second! |

Re: WM 6.5 Is it worth it?
I copied and pasted my oem selections from my 6.1 setup to 6.5 setup, and it's faster, same **** in rom, but most of the talk of speed regarding 21500 is that it's faster than all the other 6.5 sys's released to date

Re: WM 6.5 Is it worth it?
I know Dan..it probably is a bit faster right now...Hell it better be! LOL
Sorry for the rant I just saw one poster I decided wasn't worth quoting tell someone to go run 5.0 and I just think that is a poor attitude to take on a legitimate subject... Most paid upwards of $300-400 for their phone and it should be used as more than just something you flash the latest rom into... I got a guy I work with who saw my flashed TP and he has been trying to outdo me every week... The other day he tried to show me a 6.5 flash he put on and tried to show me how cool he was... He missed 3 calls due to lockup and had to reset three times trying to show me how COOL 6.5 is...LOL I just have to laugh at that! I will run 6.5 when it's done and with MM and J working together that day may be much sooner than I thought... But there are so many people who are noobs, don't know who come to this site for advice... And yahoos who simply flash whatever rom came out last so he can say he has the latest are the same guys who convince people to brick and or makew their phone un-usable! To me it is simply not an upgrade until it works better than what I have in EVERY way.... 6.5 just isn't there yet....but with Copper I have hopes it soon will be. And fully TF3D2 compatible... If TF Detacher or second today works on it then I will have my cake and eat it too! LOL Ihave faith in Mike and Juicy to get me there... I know mike is as much a stickler for stability as I am! |

Re: WM 6.5 Is it worth it?
no problem, need to also use something to move icons, or edit the rgu, it uses a dummy prov to replace the one in sys, because I'm lazy and don't like editing provs

Re: WM 6.5 Is it worth it?
No, only in the TF3D menus. ie; programs list. 6.5 has system wide kinetic scrolling. 6.1 only has 2(?) speeds? Slow and flick to the bottom/top.

Re: WM 6.5 Is it worth it?
Copper ROM is great for what it is, Just a beta. Yes, created by 2 of the most popular chefs around. But lets be honest. Alot of us are having more issues than we like to mention, out of respect I guess.
There isn't a many reliable cabs out for 6.5 yet, its all Trial and Error right now. With that said.... Its obviously the direction Microsoft is going in....Its like transitioning from XP to Vista... Ugly at first, now its dependible but still waiting for windows7 to close the deal. So the way I see it.... YOu can either join the fun. Install Copper0.0.0.1 and learn along with everyone on tweaks and configurations.... Or sit back for a few months and wait till the more complete and stable ROMS are fully cooked. For myself. I am gonna get as much experience with wm 6.5 as I can. Trying to keep the pace....
