Re: new radio 1.07.06f

yeah, I'm really liking this radio. came from 1.11, gps locks fast, even in my basement, internet seems to come through faster, don't find myself putting it down while pages load any more, and battery has been great so far today

dunno why. it accomplished nothing but an inconvenience to others.

Flashing radio is at your own risk and every one realizes this. so removing it for the users safety as i was told makes no sense. especially since the diamond forums radio thread is still stickied.
Ah, well. Some people thrive on drama. I try to stay as far away from it as I can. I am just grateful for these forums and all the incredible work being done. I know I would not have ever bought a Diamond or a Pro if not for the hard work of people like you (I originally had a Touch and flashed the heck out of it for a few months prior to the Diamond coming out).

Back to the thread topic, though: I am having very good luck with this new radio, compared to the previous ones I tried. So far, it is extremely stable. Battery life seems to be average, nothing particularly bad or good about it. I am getting pretty good signal and have not dropped data once in the last 24 hours!

Re: new radio 1.07.06f

I'm having good luck with this radio, as well. Signal seems strong and consistent and the heat seems less as well.

As for the sticky, the radio thread really SHOULD be restickied. Just about EVERYTHING in the Upgrades forum is risky, to an extent, so why differentiate the radio upgrades?

Re: new radio 1.07.06f

This is an excellent radio, thanks, it works well in a low coverage area, better than the 1.11. I'm sticking to it.

Re: new radio 1.07.06f

My preliminary tests seem to show reduced/eliminated GPS lag. I am taking a long roadtrip today and will report tonight.

Re: new radio 1.07.06f

Anything to help with GPS and battery drain would be great. I will load up the radio and post my findings.

Re: new radio 1.07.06f

Wow I am thrilled at the initial results. I just switched to the 1.11.00F (Sprint Diamond) this weekend and it already almost doubled my battery. I would be ecstatic if this US Cellular TP radio improved it even further. I'll try it this weekend I think.
