i've been working on my 6.5 for the last week. It just isn't fast right now. Multitasking is HORRID!!! 21198 is great, but just not up to par yet.

The new sys that will be leaked soon should be promising!

Re: Is it worth going to 6.5 now?

Well I took the plunge and upgraded to StarROM (unforntunately PhantomROM messed up my keyboard and I couldn't find Meridin's 6.5 ROM).

StarROM works well. I can't say that I find 6.5 faster or slower than 6.1. I threw out TF3D and ultimately went back to PointUI2. I like the new home screen interface but would be nice if I could customize where the icons go. Would be even nicer if I could just set up pages of icons to switch between. Don't really care for the new "right" click menu (cut, copy, paste, etc), seems slower to draw up the new screen than it just to drop down the menu.

Overall though I'm not really WOW'd by 6.5 but barring any showstoppers that I haven't discovered yet I'll be sticking with it. I'll probably switch over to KK's when and if he makes a 6.5 version (if not maybe one of the other big names around here - or maybe none at all). Fact is I'm really not big on flashing my phone. Takes to long to reload my settings and programs I use . Just don't see how some of y'all manage it.

Anyway to answer my own thread. If your interested in 6.5 I'd say give it a try, you have nothing to lose really. If your happy with your phone the way it is, I'd probably wait and see if someone can come with a must have reason later.

What I would like is a kitchen that actually builds 6.5 roms properly, without having to use dll's for Enterprise/BrowsingCore (i.e. use the real modules). Basically something that build with wmreloc not greloc.

Also 6.5 benches way lower than 1.6 aku's for 6.1
