Is it worth going to 6.5 now?

Like many here I am interested in upgrading my Touch Pro to the 6.5 OS. My question is whether I should do it now or wait till after the chefs have had time to get the official release of the OS.

Any thoughts on if it is stable enough and does offer enough of an upgrade to justify doing now would be appreciated.

alot of the chefs have put in so much work into making 6.5 an everyday rom that at this point ide say yes its worth it. give it a try and the worst that can happen is that you go back to 6.1

Exactly!

Other then the time to reinstall your fav. app (if it's missing from the ROM) and a PIM BACKUP, what do you have to lose?

+1 on that. Plus you can see what people have to say about it here.

Re: Is it worth going to 6.5 now?

I suggest

Stars Rom and PhantomRom (the beta version the update has a bug and should be fixed soon).

All thanks go to JD for providing the kitchen, if you want a basic 6.5 and TouchFlo Flash JDs rom, its stable .

All of these Roms have minor to 0 issues, and makes me say, i'm not going back to 6.1

and a new UI is always fun to play around with, but if you dont like the ui you can still use tf3d or tf3d2, win win in my book

Re: Is it worth going to 6.5 now?

Could someone outline the biggest differences between 6.5 and 6.1? The only differences I've really seen are a "upgrade" to a 3year old browser and an update to the ui that HTC and other software houses have already done better?

I'd like to get excited about it, but I'm not sure of the must have features or killer apps.

Re: Is it worth going to 6.5 now?

It's nothing groundbreaking or anything, but it is simply something new to tweak and play with.
