no, it's evdo, but cricket over the air programing wont work if you have an evdo prl on it. small little hickup running this device on cricket. you have to install a 1x prl on your device to get *228 to work, and you have to get right one on your phone without it stopping in middle of programming and hanging up. and make sure you are not roaming when you dial *228, even go outside to make call if needed. cricket will also set your pst settings correct over the air with *228. it's just going thru trouble finding wich prl works at first. and when cricket updates their prl, you would be better off putting that 1x prl on that worked and dialing *228, then installing current released prl from any download you get. i had same issues where some things worked, when i found the 1x prl that worked, i never just downloaded any evdo prl pepps posted, i would just do ota program, cuz some posted didn't work in my area with evdo and gps working.
