I have 38944. The ones listed on that site don't go that high. Should I try one from there? And which one? They all say unknown.

Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

if you have that prl saved to your card, i would say try going thru each of the non-evdo prls for cricket. it may take some time, but once you find the one that works for you, save it on card and delete the rest. if you have a roaming account, it will give you latest and greates roaming prl, if you don't it will give you latest and greatest non-roaming prl. try them one at a time, dial *228 after installing with pst settings. if non of them take, i don't know what to say but double check your pst settings. i found ryans pst settings made my touch pro not work, some have reported otherwize. i can give settings that work for me if you need them

Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

I tried the 38515 PRL (the last on for Cricket on the site you linked to) and have the same result. I have areas in my house where I get no Cricket signal, and it shows the little roaming icon at the top in those places. When the roaming icon is there, test calls go to Verizon...?

Oh wait...you said to try the non-EVDO PRLs? Is this a non-EVDO phone? I'm a little lost on that one...
Oh, and I don't think that *228 will work as I do not have service set up yet, so my MSID is not right. I can't set my MSID until I have a Cricket account for the phone, am I correct?

Yeah, if it's not too much trouble, I would love to get the settings that worked for you. Thanks so much for your help! I really appreciate it!

Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

no, it's evdo, but cricket over the air programing wont work if you have an evdo prl on it. small little hickup running this device on cricket. you have to install a 1x prl on your device to get *228 to work, and you have to get right one on your phone without it stopping in middle of programming and hanging up. and make sure you are not roaming when you dial *228, even go outside to make call if needed. cricket will also set your pst settings correct over the air with *228. it's just going thru trouble finding wich prl works at first. and when cricket updates their prl, you would be better off putting that 1x prl on that worked and dialing *228, then installing current released prl from any download you get. i had same issues where some things worked, when i found the 1x prl that worked, i never just downloaded any evdo prl pepps posted, i would just do ota program, cuz some posted didn't work in my area with evdo and gps working.

Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

OK, that makes sense. But I cannot do the *228 thing without an active Cricket account to put on it, correct? The PRL has an effect on whether the GPS works or not?

Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

you doing this without it actavated on cricket? i don't know about the gps, that is it's own thing, you have a built in gps radio seperate of phone radio, it's stand alone. it does need quick gps to work faster which needs a net connection. maybee your stock rom gets gps working faster.

Re: Touch Pro Cricket ROM

Yeah, it's not activated yet. The GPS is working good (I am using TomTom 7) and have QuickGPS working through WiFi. Just trying to get the flash done so it's all ready to go for when I add a line to the current Cricket account.
