I've been thinking about this a little while I work and do we know what our ROM's were based on? I mean, if they weren't based on a Sprint ship ROM, would Sprint be an option? I know one of the hacks changes a registry key to Sprint but maybe it doesn't take or something. I'm lost when it comes to the internal workings of ICS so I'm just throwing stuff out there.

Re: Tethering: Sprint Not A Choice In Network Connection In ISC

now this is definitely posted in the wrong place, but im shorton time and it will have to do. i have sprint and used my apache and mogul's shared internet connection tool alll the time. now with my touch pro i run into errors all the time, saying "error code 67, registration failed".. i get that all the time now, right after the "waiting for network" status...

any ideas? it does this with stock and custom roms, and is driving me nuts!

by the way, since this is a forum for cellphones, wouldnt it be nice to have text messaging notification when the thread is updated?

Make sure you have a data connection before you connect. I think that many don't need sms notifications as many have push mail.

Re: Tethering: Sprint Not A Choice In Network Connection In ISC

I switched to a custom ROM built I off of GC's kitchen and the options are now there for Spint. I also did what a poster above said, enabled the data connection first and it worked. I also disabled the connection to my cable modem also before trying so that might have done it, too. Looks like the ROM's I was using before had something setup different. My problem's solved. If a moderator sees this, if the dude above's problem is still going, you can leave it open or move it or whatever you feel is right. Thanks everyone for the help.

Here are three links I found on Google, not sure if they'll help:

This talks about Error 67 in regards to a Sprint PCS Vision account, not sure if that's what you have:
http://forums.buzzaboutwireless.com/...ssage.id=14287

This one is from PPCGeeks and it seems like the consensus is to reflash. The posts are spread out and I didn't read the whole thing:
http://ppcgeeks.com/forum.ppcgeeks/s...=26114&page=30

And last, from SpintUsers.com. Just the full error description:
http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/arc...p/t-51042.html

67 Error Code 67 Registration failure. Your
username and/or password may be incorrect. Please try
again. Note: Repeated entries of an invalid password
during a 24-hour period will result in a 20-minute
suspension. A suspended username may not be used until
the suspension expires, even when submitted with the
correct password. If this problem persists, you may
need to contact Sprint. Mobile node failed
authentication, this means that the mobile failed to
register with the PDSN. This could be a result of
improper provisioning or a change to the users
username or password.

Which custom ROM did you flash to? Is it a stable release? I'm not as knowledgeable in all of this as others, but my ego tells me my advice is good.
