Re: What the heck...it hard reset itself!

Re: What the heck...it hard reset itself!

I had random hard resets with MightyRom as well. I thought it was because of the taskbar icons I installed, but I did a hard reset using the "Clear Storage" option (with format / clear NAND option checked) and then after that a hard reset using the power, volume down and center buttons; after a day or two I still kept getting random hard resets and I hadn't installed anything after those two hard resets.

I've been using eRice's ROM since November (about 5 months) and switched to MightyRom two days ago. This morning I woke up to half a PPC. 90% of all the files on the device are simply gone, ActiveSync settings are gone, S2U2 starts but has no files, the same thing with the handful of programs I installed - Pocketwit, Facebook, etc. A hard reset would have left things clean, whereas I still have links in the programs menu and little remnants.

What the frak happened? It's like something simply deleted all the files in memory.

Thanks for any information.

I have run Mighty's rom and right now I am running SSK's latest and have not ever experienced anything like this. But like they said you should do a hard reset after a fresh flash. Thanks to all the chefs at PPC!

Re: What the heck...it hard reset itself!

I flashed Juicy yesterday morning, was working fine. An hour ago I checked my email, put it down, then remembered I wanted to check the weather, picked up the TP, and it was dead. Just like that.

I kept pressing the power button and suddenly it came back to life, completely hard reset. I let it boot up, and on the customization screen it went crazy - the progress bar was just cycling rapidly and only "........" was displayed in the text box under the bar.

I tried hard resetting again, same thing. I took the battery out, and now it booted and successfully did the customizations.

I had the following installed both times I've had a random hard reset:
Total Commander
SPB Mobile Shell
TouchPal
ICR + ICR MUI
WMWiFiRouter
PockeTwit
DIDN'T restore any texts this time
iContact
NeboPad
PhoneLog
WeatherPanel
Exchange via mail2web - I list this because I know Exchange has the power to wipe a device...hmm.

Anyone have any ideas? Anyone suffer from random hard resets with any of those programs loaded?

Thanks for any help,
TM
