Actually I'm having this same issue and even a manual send/receive will not get my email. I don't want to hard reset because it tkes too long to get all my setting back. As much as I love the look and feel of this ROM I don't think it is functional for me because of the Exchange glitch and the following:
1. Activesync doesn't connect to my device anymore. This is trouble because I have no idea how I'm going to flash back to stock ROM 2. Both my Exchange and my Hotmail accounts no longer sync. Actually I can't even send/receive manually 3. Sprint Picture Mail doesn't work anymore 4. Task Manager shows that my CPU usage is over 50% with no running programs. stock ROM was rarely over 38%. I notice a definite lag - even greater than stock - when trying to open memory intesive programs like photo album, etc 5. Wierd black box that covers the reception/speaker icons on the top bar. This comes and goes as it pleases (screenshot attached) Any ideas on how I can revert to stock without activesync? Any suggestions to make this ROM work as well for me as it seems to be for everyone else? ![]() |

Re: (March 3, 2009) Merdin's Windows Mobile Pro v3.8 [CE OS 5.2.21018] {lite\pro} *NE
Quick update: soft reset seems to have fixed my push email accounts (both Hotmail and Exchange). I also just now realized that my compact qwerty keyboard doesn't work properly - it only types numbers and symbols regardless of abc or t9 mode. Wierd black box at the top bar is still there...
I have version 3.8 and did follow the hard reset instructions when flashing. Edit: removed picture mail and now my push email accts are fine. Anyone else have bad luck with the Sprint Picture Mail CAB? Also, removing this program sped up my system siginificantly. Last edited by ssbmg; 03-05-2009 at 04:53 PM. |

Did you try to remove the Sprint Picture Mail program? I got the CAB from the first post and installed but it was slowing down my system and screwing with my push accts.

I figured out the black box - I went into the Diamond Tweak and made battery icon visible. For some reason it was set to not visible. This has fixed the black box as that's where the battery indicator goes.
As for picture mail - I did waht you suggested and downloaded straight to my phone from powerdeck. So far it seems to be working and not screwing up my push email accts or slowing down my device. Will try activesync on my PC at home in a couple of hours. If all goes well then it looks like I've found myself a perfect ROM! Thanks! |
