Got replacement phone from Sprint, HARD SPL wont work.. - Page 4

lol all you had to do was uninstall and reinstall activesync. all good man.

You don't actually have to uninstall active synch the is the driver uninstall the device from device manager then let it reinstall itself. Quicker easier no reboot required.!

Actually I tried that...and ALLLL the other suggestions here and other places. Nothing made a difference besides COMPLETELY uninstalling and reinstalling active sync - even tho I wasn't using active sync (I was manually entering bootloader mode). Who knows.

Just for the record I did redownload hardSPL at the same time, but it was the same file so I'm pretty sure it was the activesync reinstall.

First time posting but I just got a new phone off of sprint 2 weeks ago and had the same problem. I did have the Hard SPL downloaded and sitting on my computer but never had the nerve to run it yet. When I finally believed i was ready to unlock my first phone I followed all the instruction i could find and got the same darn problem. After messing around for a day I decided too load it up in bootloader mode just to see what was there. It said it was already security unlocked with the .37000 designation.

I was wondering if I just may have gotten a refurbished sprint phone even if there is no refurbishment data under ##786# screen.

To this day I'm not sure how the damn thing got unlocked but im comfortably flashing a new rom on a day...... i swear its just weird! any idea's???

i think you need to make sure it syncs 1 time i had this happen too after i sync'd i could flash fine

can someone PLEASE tell me how to fix this so i can run a custom ROM on the new phone...

Unlock it via SD card. Thats what I did. It worked.
