A better way to compare reception would be to dial ##debug# and compare your Rx power reading.

I don't think the rom will change anything in your reception to be honest. It's more what the radio does (Telus radio works the best in my case, by the way).
Are you referring to the fat 4 bars, because to make it look like the 7 bars from mighty's you have to perform a regedit -
Registry Hack to Change from Sprint 7 Bars to Telus 5 Bars (only 6 & 4 bars show up)
<characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\CDMA" translation="filesystem">
<parm name="SignalStrengthLevel" datatype="integer" value="5"/>
</characteristic>

5 = Telus Thick bars
7= Sprint Skinny Bars updated 11/25/08

Yeah, that's what I'm referring to. I personally like the 4 bars better for some reason.

I was just telling Big Ron that his signal might not necessarily be worse. It's possibly just an illusion...

sucks cuz the 4.7 is starting to show its age when it comes to load times and stuff .. i wish there was a newer rom (just like 4.7{striped down} with no HD or TP2 manilla, progs, etc) that ran a little faster like the current roms.

i like to install my own progs and themes and icons, etc....

Is there any way to go back to the previous version without re-flashing?
There is no we

... and yes I fixed it. I'm thinking of uploading a new version tonight.
