Re: [ ROM ] [ KITCHEN ] JUICY 8 - Build 090723 (21828.5.0.60) [UC]

I was doing a test ot comment on the battery life to let readers know.
I tested 2 touchpro one with stock rom and the second with Juicy 8 Rom, both had the same blue tooth sync and the beam was left active, the Juicy ROm had way better battery life by approx 3 1/2 to 4 hours. The stock rom need to go back on the charge at approx 2 pm and the one wit juicy lasted till approx 5-5:30. They both were taken off at approx 6:00am and I was at work, in the field most of the day with little to poor coverage, hope this help individuals inquiring about battery life

If anyone runs into issues with the HTC WiFi sharing app, this is what I experienced:

The app said I had no data connections, though my data would work just fine. It was using the "My Work Network" which has no dialing rules to connect to data - which is why it kept asking me to set one up. I simply unchecked the box saying that my work network connects to the internet, and it defaulted back to "NETWORK" which has #777 for its dialing rule, now all works well!

I keep having a problem with my Inbox not opening after charging my phone. I tried the "read_note.htm" registry tweak, but that didn't seem to fix it he problem. Any suggestions on how to fix this without having to reboot my phone everytime?

Quote:

I had a problem like that, it was the email template, check this key and make sure it's set to "read_note.htm" and not "HTC_read_note.htm" or something.

Thanks a lot!!

This was driving me crazy. I'm not sure if I like this app over WMWifiRouter. This just looks like an adhoc network to me. Havent tested multiple connections yet

Is there a non-rapidshare mirror of this anywhere?

Rapidshare is blocked at my office.

I don't use gmail, so I can't help ya on that one, this thread somewhere should have a anwser.. Hope this Helps.
One thing I noticed about texting on custom ROM's ... is that the messages are not marked as "read" once you reply. This was even the case with Mighty's ... I have to sometimes go back into the thread once or twice extra so it won't appear as "new" anymore.

To configure IMAP for your Windows Mobile 6 device, just follow these steps:

1. Enable IMAP in your Gmail settings.
2. Open the Start menu and select Programs > Messaging > New E-mail Account.
3. Enter your Gmail address (including '@gmail.com') in the E-mail Address field*. Google Apps users, enter your full address in the format 'username@your_domain.com'*.
* Windows Mobile 6.1 users: Enter an unintelligible email address (such as 'g@g') at this step. This will bypass the automatic configuration for POP access.
4. Uncheck the box that asks to get settings automatically from the Internet and select Next.
5. Select Internet e-mail as your email provider in the drop-down menu.
6. Enter your name as you want it to appear in sent emails.
7. Enter a descriptive name for the email account and select Next.
8. Enter 'imap.gmail.com' in the Incoming Mail Server field.
9. Select IMAP4 as the Account type from the drop-down menu and select Next.
10. Enter your full email address (including '@gmail.com' or '@your_domain.com') and password.
11. Select Next.
12. Enter 'smtp.gmail.com' in the Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server field.
13. Make sure that the Outgoing server requires authentication box is checked.
14. Select the Advanced Server Settings link.
15. Make sure that the Require SSL box is checked for both incoming and outgoing emails.
16. Select The Internet as the network connection from the drop-down menu.
17. Select Done and then Next.
18. Select how often you want your phone to send/receive emails from the drop-down menu.
19. For more download options, select the Review all download settings link.
20. Select Finish.
21. Check our recommended client settings, and adjust your client's settings as needed.

Great help, thanks a bunch... I guess the auto-settings just was not working. But that worked like a charm... thanks again

I can't seem to get Sprint PM to work on this build. I am using the one from the Sprint s/w store. It keeps telling me that Picture Mail is not supported on the platform.

NM I feel like a nub, search is my friend...
