and with the pagepool issue...are you making sure to navigate to the correct folder the NEW rom is in...

i figured that one out the hard way because it defaults to the last rom you changed the page pool on (if you keep them archived like i do)

Re: [ROM] [Apr 29] JUICY 7 - Build 090429H (21501.5.0.70) [UC] *Rhodium Manila*

I found a solution to the gmail problem.

In order to get gmail to work properly I did this:

Created a new account (after deleting the original gmail one that didn't work) and when it asked for my email address I put @gmmail.com. I unchecked the 'search for settings' box and then proceded to enter my username, password and the account name as Gmail (not Gmmail.com as it suggests).

Then I selected it as an internet email
then selected IMAP

the IMAP settings are as follows:
incoming: imap.gmail.com. using SSL
Outgoing: smtp.gmail.com

check 'outgoing server requires authorization
now hit 'next' until you get back to the main email screen.
go into your new gmail and hit 'menu' and then 'tools' and 'Options'
this takes you to WM messaging options, select the new account

edit the account setup and change that gmmail back to gmail.
hit Next until you get to the outgoing mail server page and tap the 'Advanced Server Settings'

enable SSL for both incoming and outgoing here.

that should pretty much do it. hope it helps!

Was this response directed at my question?

If so, how does this fix the non-working ##786# issue?

TIA

by non working do you mean you cant get the master rest screen up because the carrier cab enables the ## codes...or do you mean it pops up but your MSL isnt working...

When I punch in the ##786# code, i get a split second "response" (dialer screen kinda flickers), but then it stays on the same dialer screen. It doesn't prompt for MSL, or anything.

If I put in Airplane mode 1st, I get message to turn on phone, then re-run. I then turn phone back on, get same results as above. Still no prompt for MSL.

##PST# works fine. What do you need to set with ##786# that can't be set using ##PST# (##778#)?

When ever I've had issues in past with other ROMs, often times a hard reset alone wasn't good enough. Thus, I tried ##786#, which always resolved my issues.

Wasn't aware of ##778# code.

How does it compare\contrast to ##786#?

I'm not sure how it compares, since I don't experience any network issues after flashing a ROM... (maybe once?).

What is the problem? Who is your carrier?

x99percent:
##786# is used to hard HARD reset the phone... like it'll auto program/provision again

sometimes you'll get a software hitch and doing this kind of hard reset can help

djronh1:
install the dcd carrier cab...since this is just a general CDMA ROM non of the carrier specific stuff is included with, including the ##codes. That cab will install the ## codes...just dont click on the update PRI program...

once you install that program it will enable the ## codes and you can hard reset away
