Red face HTC Touch Pro Replacement/Stock ROM Questions

Hi,

I had a working HTC Touch Pro but now the screen will not work at all. It has a translucent film on top of it, almost looking like the entire screen is one entire air bubble. Well, I had upgraded the ROM on that using the unlocking techniques and then running the RUU software to upgrade to Scott's ROM. Well, I have the replacement phone but I am worried that I will need to revert the software on the broken phone to the previous stock settings and ROM. Is there anyway that I can copy the stock ROM off the new phone to place it on the old phone? Does anyone here know what steps I need to take to return the non-working phone back to Verizon default settings and not let on to Verizon that I had upgraded the ROM, because I fear that it will void some warranty. Thank you very much for all your help.

Re: HTC Touch Pro Replacement/Stock ROM Questions

Can you still see the screen are is it just solid white? If it is still visible then check the stickies at the top of this page and in the unlocker pack you downloaded you will find the relocker. Stock ROM is also in the stickies

Re: HTC Touch Pro Replacement/Stock ROM Questions

Even if you can't see the screen, doesn't the phone vibrate when it boots, I would think by paying attention to this you would be able to tell if you were able to flash the stock rom on there fully, relocking the device may be another question alltogether...

Re: HTC Touch Pro Replacement/Stock ROM Questions

Thank you for everyone's help. Basically, I could see the screen but the touch function was completely not working. I was able with the "favorite" key on the keyboard to assign it to Softclick Left so that I was able to click on yes when upgrading the radio. Oh and also, I had to connect the phone and then browse through the ActiveSync so that I could delete from \Windows\Start\Welcome program because I couldn't "tap" the screen.

Re: HTC Touch Pro Replacement/Stock ROM Questions

Just REFLASH it??

You can get the stock ROM's on this thread. If your phone is getting Active Sync just reflash using the RUU, If not...

You can still flash it using a microSD Card.
