Re: Overwhelmed w/Sprint touch pro, advice from the pros needed =)
Any advice on what Radio to upgrade to? Some people are complaining about the latest sprint radio saying that it is actually slower then previous versions. I have no idea which version is the best for me.
edit:so it seems that people get totally different results then others with the same radio, so I guess I will try the telus then the sprint. Last edited by protomind; 02-13-2009 at 12:06 AM. |

Re: Overwhelmed w/Sprint touch pro, advice from the pros needed =)
Is there another interface besides tf3d that I can use with mightyrom? Also in order to get my internet working it seems that I have to reflash the stock sprint rom and configure my phone that way, then I would update with a cooked ROM? Will the proper settings carry over?

Here is a link to the Telus radio ... just scroll down to Telus Diamond and click on the link. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=40609 Just follow the on screen instructions. Now you are ready for a custom rom, and most all of them are for use with TF3D. You can always uncheck the box in settings to disable it, but it's the interface that makes the phone quite usable. As for your choice ... Mighty Mike's is a good one ... give it a try. If it's not to your satisfaction, read more and try another. Be sure to do a hard reset (clear storage) after completing the custom rom install. Good luck ...

Re: Overwhelmed w/Sprint touch pro, advice from the pros needed =)
Sorry, I may have misspoke, I do have my phone flashed with mightyrom and I did it out of the box not realizing that I needed to have everything working before flashing it. After I flashed I could not get the internet and texting working (since I flashed out of the box) now I can not seem to reflash with the stock sprint rom, when I try it says "invalid model id" (Error 244) and will not continue the flash. So now I realize that I have to flash back to stock and setup my device properly then reflash a custom ROM, but I can not for the reasons I mentioned. Any ideas?
As far as TF3D is concerned, I was hoping that there is another possibly usermade interface available as an alternative to TF3D. Or a cleaner modified version of it. Last edited by protomind; 02-13-2009 at 01:37 PM. |
