I do seem to have more success at charging if I'm plug the phone directly into a wall charger (although it's still had a few issues with that also) - but generally works better.

Besides the temp sensor (which I've described before), I can see two other items, if not working properly, could cause the problem.
1) In the Power setting, there is a check box that reads "If the phone is on, Do not charge the battery when connected to the PC. Even though I have always left it unchecked (and I can't figure you why anyone would put a check there) the battery does seem to start the charge cycle, and then at some point, it just stops charging. There is no actual numerical level that i can point to because it happens at different stages.
2) The "flashing" lights - Even though they are supposed to just "report" the ongoing action, why would they continue to flash even though the actual charging has stopped.

About the only way to find out if it's the kitchen is to flah back to the VZ stock ROM and run it for a while. Since I only have 1 phone, and it's taken HOURS to get it set up with TP2 and 21109, I am reluctant to reflash for testing. Especially since I'd have to revert to the 'dark ages" ROM for a couple of days to get any meaningful information. However, I may do that before I do my next flash, but that's not going to be until TP2 is finally released or you have something that I can't resist.

Those are just my thoughts.

So strange because i tried to reproduce it and cannot. It would seem like the charging DLL's are the issue but I dont see why its not more wide spread? If I could reproduce it I coauld troubleshoot it.

I put the check there. I dont feel its good to constantly disconnecting the charing cycle. I never charge from USB. I only charge from outlet. Sorry. I have 5 battires all under 3 months old and I use one phone to charge them while th eother phone consumes them. I rotate them every three days.

Thats why I never charge from USB. If I am low just drop in another battery. With the "luxury" of flashing all the test builds I create I think I woudl perm damage the battery with so may connects and disconncts. Make sense?
