Slight detour:
What screen protectors are you people using because my personal quest for a good one is getting rather frustrating? Last edited by jbachandouris; 04-04-2009 at 02:01 PM. Reason: spelling |

Let me tell you my opinons on screen savers, cases, etc... They all blow. Put your phone in your pocket and expect it to get scratched. When the time comes the time comes; just like death. And you cant chat death. When its time for that big scratch you just need to take it like a man.... Sorry man, I used to protect the hell out of my phones. Still got scratched and dented and broke, etc..... Now, everything goes in my pocket. The phone goes in left pocket with nothing else at all. No keys, no this no that.... And I have much better luck than putting on all these crazy contraptions that reduce the sensitivity of the phone. But that is just me..... |

Even though you tried, I don't know why you went to that total gamer website to get the CAB. It's available at the bottom of post #4 as an attachment. You could also read Post #3 and try this (although I don't think that's your problem) For the time being off on SMS try this registry key it has worked for me on other ROMs. This is a known issue not to do with manila. ADD the following: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting] "TrustTimeZoneField"=dword:00000000 Again the link to the thread is: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61809 Good luck, Bob PS. Did you turn off TF3D before you applied the fix? If not, do so and then try applying the fix again....but the author of that thread says it didn't work for hime either. |

Found a problem for us Verizon users on the generic carrier(?) with MMS. I was trying to send a picture MMS today and kept getting "Originator Not Found" error message. Found this site with the fix.
http://www.howardforums.com/archive/...1141283-1.html I only added the string with my phone number. I didn't delete anything. I'll have to create a VZW version to flash to see if the problem is there as well. AND I STILL WANNA KNOW IF ANYBODY ELSE HAS TROUBLE USING IE6beta. A YES OR NO WOULD BE NICE. AM I THE ONLY ONE????? I flashed from SD card. Maybe I should flash again? |

Besides the temp sensor (which I've described before), I can see two other items, if not working properly, could cause the problem. 1) In the Power setting, there is a check box that reads "If the phone is on, Do not charge the battery when connected to the PC. Even though I have always left it unchecked (and I can't figure you why anyone would put a check there) the battery does seem to start the charge cycle, and then at some point, it just stops charging. There is no actual numerical level that i can point to because it happens at different stages. 2) The "flashing" lights - Even though they are supposed to just "report" the ongoing action, why would they continue to flash even though the actual charging has stopped. About the only way to find out if it's the kitchen is to flah back to the VZ stock ROM and run it for a while. Since I only have 1 phone, and it's taken HOURS to get it set up with TP2 and 21109, I am reluctant to reflash for testing. Especially since I'd have to revert to the 'dark ages" ROM for a couple of days to get any meaningful information. However, I may do that before I do my next flash, but that's not going to be until TP2 is finally released or you have something that I can't resist. Those are just my thoughts. Bob |

I put the check there. I dont feel its good to constantly disconnecting the charing cycle. I never charge from USB. I only charge from outlet. Sorry. I have 5 battires all under 3 months old and I use one phone to charge them while th eother phone consumes them. I rotate them every three days. Thats why I never charge from USB. If I am low just drop in another battery. With the "luxury" of flashing all the test builds I create I think I woudl perm damage the battery with so may connects and disconncts. Make sense? |
