Yea, the phone is totally operational, except I don't have ActiveSync. It's working on the desktop....The TP says to use the "Getting STARTED" cd....and I'm 1200 miles from that CD....thought reflashing would solve the problem....No, I didn't change anything about the incoming call priority

Did you copy any other item over to the SD card, like the RUU utility?

nope, just the .nbh file, I'm so confused by the "serial" message you get, you're not connected to the computer when trying this are you? (serial vs. usb) or is it a serial number problem, or what....

NO, I'm not connected to the computer....and I think it would be serial vs USB, not a serial number problem... I wonder if I went into Connections and made sure that everything is unchecked on the ActiveSync USB connection to Pc Page

Edit: No matter what I do, I keep getting "Serial"

Have you tried cooking your own rom yet? Its much easier to cook your own rom and test it out than it is to fix a broke one. I've not read any posts describing that problem specifically, but there has been around 4000 posts in this thread ( a ton were archived).

start/ programs / active sync... menu/ connections does it say USB in the drop down, its the only option I have (the check box is checked)

I switched from a 1 GB card to an 8 GB card....I guess that the phone just doesn't like a standard card. It liked the SDHC better

Still waiting to finish for a soft reset

I remember something about SD card limitations but it was in the posts that were expunged. I'd have never ever thought of going that route.
