Nah, not that sad... its still a badd *** phone... I got on eif that means anything! ahahahahahahaha

Not gonna lie though.... 256 megs of ram is freakin SICK!

I am so in love with this diamond now! I wanted this over the Pro so bad but I just jumped onthe first thing I coudl get.... The VZW Pro.... Now that I am sprint... Its all good!....... NO more Sprint vs VZW please! We all know they both suck!

I am keeping my pro too so I am working out a dual kitchen as well.....

Not sure exactly how I want to work that... one single download or a core for TP and a core for Diam.... Prolly the latter of the two....

the SYS files and ROM folder will be interchangeable.

If I can just find the reg keys that determine the naming of the internal storage.... thats what is screwing up for me....

My Pro thinks it has 4 gigs of internal storage now!!!! ahahahahaha

you guys call this easier than just using UC or manually installing??????

If I am going to go through the hassle of pulling reg keys I will OEM that ***** before I do all this!!!!

Haha... try doing it for 50+ apps that change monthly... reg keys change with added features (as you know) so an OEM becomes a hassle as it's static and needs to be updated, even w/OEMizer. And I have to dump the OEM into a folder anyway, just a kitchen folder.

Much easier to use a program like RegSnap, get the difference .reg dump between snaps (it does this quite easily/accurately) and dump that into the folder. I use this method for all my installs and customizations.

I look at Sashimi as a "post flash" kitchen, or Japanese RAW bar <G>

Not so hard after all

Understood.

I guess thats another place where I am differnt... I dont run anything but stock apps and S2U2. Sometimes SPB apps... other than that... Nope.

Also, reg keys change, yes... But not that often. Not trying to debate but just throw out my two cents... But once again this will depend on the app, the usage, and of course the keys in question.

But once again I am not arguing ont his.. Just stating what I think. It just LOOKS like a lot to do. Since I have never done it I need to take some of my own advice and STFU! ;c)

Hehe... understood, and same here: if I just installed a few apps, I'd probably use UC too. UC and SD..txt files always seemed WAY too much effort from my perspective (I suck at typing, go figya) so I looked for a more automated way of automating](*,)

And I really just want folks to know there is an alternative to UC, not a replacement, as I spent much time scouring the "cloud" to discover this.

BTW, enjoy the new phone! As carriers start to open access for any phone, you may have an opportunity to investigate yet another "grey area." I almost went with an eBay Sprint TP myself, after reading about folks that got it ported to VZN, but I didn't want to give up the safety-net of replacement, etc.

My hope is that at some point we will also be able to choose between CDMA and GSM service here in the states... video-calling looks so cool on the YT videos of an HTC branded GSM TP!

I wanted to let you SSK boys know that Scott is a freaking genius. I had a major issue last night with a near bricked phone, and he walked me through it. Unlike others that can be a little arrogant, he was very capable, and knew exactly what to do. Much props and respect for the SSK Chef. Just wanted to pass it along.

You're running MightyMikes rom and he still walked you through it? or did you forget to change your sig?

as i pointed out, some chefs aren't caught up in stuff like that to feed their ego. I do run Mighty Rom's, but Scott's knowledge on the TP, Diamond, and even the older 6800 is amazing.
