well, if you read his post, and the one I followed it up with (we were typing at the same time, mine was longer). then there is a third option, that sucks more because you have to do the ole *228 when you are done.

settings\system\memory

clear storage
type in 1234 then hit the ok button in the upper RIGHT hand corner

This will kill anything you installed after the initial flash.

Your turn to be first to respond LOL!

its a verizon tp. the app itself wasnt just a regular cab like everything else, it has conduits and could only be installed thru syncing if that makes sense. it actually didnt require netcf 3.5 just 2.0. i know 21015 was kinda quirky but i tried 20764 and 20931 as well and those didnt work either.

forgot sorry, the error message said that the "windows turboapp (name of the application) conduit cannot communicate with your device, please press ok to attempt again"

That's your problem right there: the stock ROM has NCF2 in the base, the custom ROMs do not. If you flash 21015 or better yet 21018, and install NCF2 from MS downloads, then install your app, all will be well in WM World. There's no issue running both NCF35 and NCF2, it is actually recommended and supported, just as it is on your PC. For that matter, same can be said about running different levels of Java.

Edit: This can be verified using the utility Bob posted below. Thanks Bob!

Version 1.52 of S2U2 is out...mostly bugfixes except for a delay in asking for password again.

Has anyone else experienced issues with the call waiting sound? I just flashed to 21015 on my Alltel TP, and now when a second call comes through it has this incredibly obnoxious beep. If anyone has a fix for this I would greatly appreciate it, other than that this seems to be the best of the best.

Thanks!

At this point, I'd recommend a hard reset to flush out any residual crap that might be left over from previous efforts.

That answer should be easily found in the manual.
