I think its a good idea. I typically flash my phone once a week....sometimes more. I have no problem with trying something new to releive the smallest of bugs...or just to try the newest thing. This week alone I have flashed 4 times...two of mightys and two of KK's. I've liked them both. Right now I am using Mightys because of slight improvement in stability and a large improvement in speed. KK's rocks because of the wealth of apps included.
Each rom is good on its own merits and not one fo them deserves to be trashtalked...but I dont think this is the point of the thread. So I would definitley welcome this type of thing...it would be very useful to me. Thanks for the idea, as well as for the chefs and admins who can see that this is a good idea.

You may want to put a "major issue" in the table.
There is NO LANDSCAPE in TF3D. Meaning Any ROM (like KK) that is using TF3D HD don't have LANDSCAPE. There are some people don't want to use certain ROM because there is no landscape support so is "major issue" for some. You may want to check each thread to see all the minor issue of each ROM since notice still missing a lot of minor issue people mentioned in each thread. And how about one column for battery usage? May be create your own battery test (like idle test and test with running certain application, etc) and run it on each ROM? And I assume there are few of those application that most people use like Opera, Google Map, etc. Would it be good to have columns for them and indicate the version number (like does the ROM include the latest Google map?)? And if the ROM (Opera/IE, etc) works with flash websites? This is probably too much work for one person and someone should make a Wiki that people can update. A Wiki is not a bad idea.
1. Its honesty & truth reflects the consensus of the population majority. 2. The information is protected against "vandalism" since anyone can edit it. 3. Will allow for everyone whom wishes to maintain an up-to-date database as changes/new chefs appear, etc for future generations of geekers. However... Getting people to read it before posting another "The best rom out there..." thread is another matter. IMO, The scope of this project seems substantial for just one man to maintain... accurately and daily. But then this is just starting off. We could let it run and as it builds possibly covert it to a more dynamic format... |

Just let me know if you would like access as a contributer by sending me a pm with your email address (is required to send you an invite) The reason I went with google sites over wiki, is because wiki has a bit of a learning curve. With google sites, anyone that it not familiar with wiki editing, can now also contribute to the project. I suppose we can give this a trial run.
