Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.4

Having problems with playing back recorded videos. The video records without any hiccups and shows up in TF3D, but when I click on it, it either hangs/freezes or displays the play button but nothing happens after i press it repeatedly. Other than that, everything's been working perfectly.

PS: i'm on a verizonized sprint TP

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.4

Hey GC,

You ROM is amazing. It's the best ROM in my opinion for a Verizonized Sprint Touch Pro, as it allows for A-GPS.

Are you by chance a supporter of SPB's products? The reason I ask, I use SPB Pocket Plus and SPB Diary and whenever I am in the settings for the two programs all the drop down menus don't actually drop down. I have to push the up and down hardware keys on the phone to see the different options. Have you or anybody else experienced this on your ROM? Any help would be appreciated.

I am using a Verizonized Sprint Touch Pro using a ROM built from GC's Kitchen 2.1.4.

Thanks again!
Anyone else had slowness with the Animated TF3D Theme? I like the look of it a lot (using it on SSK 1.2 right now and was going to cook a GC Rom with it, but if it's too slow, I'll switch to a different theme.

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.4

This is the best kitchen I've tried and makes wonderfully fast and bug-free roms, even on my verizon-crippled TP. The amount of effort GC has put in (Subtle tweaks, GPS fix, battery life, etc) really shows. Hats off!

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.4

GC,
I noticed I can never send a picture mail (Sprint carrier selected in kitchen) with the OEM you include with your kitchen. It tries to but it just sits and "trying to send" status and never does. I did find Acrsoft Sprint MMS version 5.0.69.44 that seems to work. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong when building the kitchen. I don't have any other OEM's included, just yours. I've attatched the cab of the Sprint MMS that works for me if anyone else is intersted. I will work on trying to make it into an OEM so it can be included into a kitchen.

I had this problem at first with SSK and the animated theme. The solution is to use DiamondTweak, look under the TouchFLO 3D heading, and change Graphic Fluidity to High

I see it if I'm using TomTom 7.910 (9185) or if I am using Google maps.

I'm not new to this and I've been using GC's work since my older XV6800, so this new activity on the new Touch Pro is really odd.

One last thing, I have set the GPS to both "Built-in GPS receiver" as well as "Other NMEA GPS receiver" with 4800 baud and 9600 baud and experienced the same five second signal loss.

This one has me stumped. Anyone have any ideas? The ROM is working great for me otherwise.
I found the solution to this issue and just in case anyone else has this problem in the future, here's the answer.

For some reason, the aGPS settings were incorrect for my phone. Even though I've only used VZW specific ROMS (leaked VZW, Scrosler's and GC's) and even though I've used lllboredlll's GPS fix multiple times on my Sprint Touch Pro on VZW, it was still a different setting.

Simply going into the GPSone tab in QPST and changing the IP and port was all it took. Everything works fine now. Cool.

Back to trying out these ROMs.
