I would ask you what you see wrong but I will go google instead of muddying up the thread.

I have disabled loging in the advance config, and soft reset, but when I check GPS settings again, its back to login again...plus I have removed the path for login too.

Touch Pro ROM Update on the way + GPS Fix?

We caught word just a few days ago about a HTC Diamond ROM update for Sprint and worldwide, but now it look like the Touch Pro is getting ready for one too.

Evidently, Alexandr Skaryd from XDA had a conversation with HTC Europe about the GPS lag problem. The crux of the convo is below:
Dear Mr. Skaryd I just wanted to get back to you in order to see if you have gotten the GPS working better. I would also like to inform you that there will be a ROM upgrade available in the near future (1.19). Please feel free to get back to us at any time if you have any further questions or queries. Kind Regards Dave Montanya HTC Europe

The bigger news is that HTC appears to be aware of this GPS lag and one can hope that this upcoming ROM addresses this problem.
In case you don't feel like waiting though, head over to M're undefined , who has a very detailed post explaining a "hack" you can do to improve your GPS. Not suprisingly, it partially involves turning off aGPS, amongst other things. Check it out, it seems to be working for folks.

if i posted in the wrong area i'm sorry

Appreciate the heads up, but 1.19, isn't that for GSM based models? Concerned only because this is posted on the CDMA portion of the threads/forum and wanted to confirm.

Hell my Sprint TP is dead on accurate and finds me in less than 4 seconds most the time what more can you ask for?

I think most people here are getting confused as to whether we are talking about a 3rd dimensional issue (it being able to accurately pin-point your standing location) or a 4th dimensional issue (it showing your location accurately but lagging and and showing where you were 4-5 seconds ago.) 3rd dimensionally they should all be extremely accurate...I know mine is! 4th dimensionally (time) it shows on screen that I am passing a street that I went by about 4-5 seconds before thus killing your moving map accuracy. My friend's Verizon Touch Pro and my Sprint Touch Pro were held side by side and they both were about 4-5 seconds delayed. A buddy in North Carolina has the Fuze and is coming to visit in a week or so, so I will be able to test his against mine then. From what I hear it is an issue affecting Touch Pros across the board.

NONE. I swear.... NONE!

It works like you would not beleive. Well, with TOM TOM 7 and live search.

I did start experimenting today with OCN2008 and noted that ti loagged about maybe 100 feet behind at some points....

But the other two apps are solid.

But I guess if that you consider the fact I never used OCN2008 before and not sure what its initial lag looks like then.... Yeah... I still think I have no lag at all.

I wonder if I can make a video for this somewho? Maybe I di have lag and dont realize it? But man, I never had such accuracy before.... Vouge was always way off, titan was good. this thing is great.

Anways, if you can help me quantify what I see that owuld be cool. I want to know if this lag is perceptual or not for me. BUt for now I see no lag at all. And that was on three of them....

Just a point of reference here:

I use OCN8.

With external BTooth receiver no lag in distance/time. Virtually Zero.

With built in GPS (VZW w/Bored fix) 4-5 sec lag in distance/time

So it's def not the software IMHO.

VZW TP & OCN8 works well enough that I get plenty of notice before a turn. OCN8 reminds you well before a turn (almost annoying incessant chatter!) It's when I miss my turn that it takes about a block before it realizes it. This doesn't happen with ext GPS.

Still gotta say I still use Bored's fix over the external. It works good enough to get where I'm going. Just don't miss a turn or you'll have to go an extra block.:error:
