I don't want the data connection to disconnect because I use an Exchange Server but I do need the data connection to go idle from time to time because it helps with the battery life.

My observations have been that it simply disconnects after 1 minute of idle time. Any requests to re-establish the connection are engaged as expected. Give it a shot if you want.

I have been lurking for a while and hoping to begin helping some folks to give back some of what I have gotten. These boards rock!!

Ys, you are dead on (am I that predictable??? ahahah)... This time I will make an exception. I wont put the tools in the production ROM's but will put them in the kitchen. They are good tools that I myself would like to play with too so no harm done to my "style" of ROM's.

But yeah, make some suggestions and I will try to include if I find it adds value to the super users...

IIRC the push notifications actually go out through the carrier(?terminology?) channel like SMS and then when it recieves the notification it fires up the data connection. And then it also checks on the heartbeat, which I believe is 45 minutes after the last sync (which would be recieve, send, or last heartbeat).

I could be wrong...still reading up to take the MCTS 08 tests (MCSA equivalent for Server 2008 ), and Exchange 07 will be after those But I did manage to set my current one up without reading documentation (Oh, as a side note, if anyone has any testing they would like to do with different Exchange configs, let me know I have my own server to play with).

ROM is working very nice with the S2U2 but the only thing I would suggest is a darker image for the lock screen. I know that we can change this but I thought I would mention it to you.

So well done on this version and let me know when you are opening the kitchen to us. Can't wait for it.
