Sorry Guys, I guess I'm just "mentallly challenged/deranged". I keep getting "KITCHEN" and "ROM" mixed up in my head. I was thinking the items mentioned would be good in a "cooked" ROM (I think I got it right this time), but mentally, I associated then with "Kitchen".

Sorry!!
Bob

Thanks Scott. Can't wait.

Ok, that flash did not go the way I wantyed it to. No biggie it was just a bad cab I think. When I placed S2A in the aut Run it scambled the keypad. I am going to just take that part out of the kitchen then cook and flash.

Thanks.....

Scott

EDIT: Ok, reflashing now. Figured i would post a screen shot of the new ROM in the meantime.

As a stability reference for those interested, I have not soft- or hard-reset the 20764/20764 combination now since I flashed it Wednesday night. That's two days of hard use and one night of random drunk idiots checking it out. Still solid as a rock - no memory leaks, no lock-ups, no missed or dropped calls, push e-mails coming in fine, Active Sync working fine, Bluetooth working fine, etc. I will report when I do have to soft-reset the thing.

Scott - I think it was definitely the right call to go back to the 1.2 OEM pack. The way you split that out was spot-on. If you know of a way to generate a directory tree that I can upload, I'd be happy to generate the listing for my modified kitchen. Next step if you want to speed things up is to prune files out of the itchen. For example, in HTC Keyboard, you don't need all the layout files and bitmaps for the other languages. That's about 30 files that can be pulled out of Windows. Of course if you don't install the HTC keyboard anyway, that's about 100 files pulled out of Windows...

Good news, the final flash came out the way I wanted. I am going to make some changes to the default selection so it matches the new ROM. I have made a choice to discontinue the three types of ROM's and make one single ROM for all. It will be a mix of all three of the older variations. I will explain more in the official thread later today......

But here ios a basic break down of the ROM:

all basic stock options, cabbed in vista orb start menu, 1% batter meter, battery percent over meter, Standard HTC Black Manila theme, opera 9.5.15316 with working auto-rotate pre installed, GPS tools as previous versions, S2U2 with animated HTC logo (maybe for qvga ut looks very good!). 6 games total counting three windows games, all 6 previoous utilties, an SSK Folder inside of my documents with installers to google maps and live search that install the the GPS folder. I just modified the default install loacation of the shortcut for those two apps to make it more organized. They are the latest versions and can be upgraded and or removed. The default power button is now a matching themed PsShutXP skin. There is a shortcut to the installer to revert back to the normal power button in the my documents folder.

And with that.... I am off to zipping and uploading.....

will report back in a few hours with thinks then I will post the final thread a few hours after that.
