Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.0

I dont mind the graphics in the weather tab in the HD manila, The only problems I am having with this is shutting the phone off! Its got an app from the diamond I think (ps SHUTxp?) that only soft resets or turns the screen off. I just noticed it this morning when I had to change my battery and the phone would not power down. I ended up soft resetting and pulling the battery before boot. Not a major bug but just a little annoying to me

I definitely liked 2.1.0, and will be testing this one out. I hate to say how this rom is so clean it reminds me of something, but it works good.

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.0

Yes there is an xml file attached I think it might be that there is already the same app in the folder IE. UsbtoPC just folders are named different but ultimately same apps oems etc.
So have that sorta sorted.
How do they get sorted to category? Such as system tweaks themes etc etc.
I love this Kitchen so far seems simple enough to use I have yet to make a real rom still trying to figure out how to get everything I want into the kitchen then I have to figure out the registry edits etc. and cook something worthy
I found a couple tuts hopefully they help out this site rocks.
With this new kitchen .2 does one just overwrite the old one or start fresh? And where did that come from I searched last night and did not find that version. Thanks by the way

Big question. Can I take a rom thats already complete and use that as a base to build from while being able to add the new system etc? and if I can how? or maybe point me to a tut with that info please thanks

I did a bit of dabbling with this when I had my fuze... you can download the raphael kitchen and it will disassemble a cooked ROM and split it up into the appropriate folders like OEM SYS etc... I'm not totally sure if it works with the CDMA roms but I don't see why it wouldn't... check out this thread:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=411915

sooo I found the _manila files that fixed the weather labels... I actually modified the OEM to include my theme too so I don't have to overwrite it after a cook, very cool... and WOW... slap a 32mb pp on this ROM and it's SMOKING HOLY SH$T.

I didn't notice that abt psshutxp! I usually install that and didn't realize gc rebound it to the power button.. I did see power off doesn't work on my device either.... just goes to show you how often I actually power it off though, I probably wouldn't have noticed.... it would, however, be nice to know how to fix that.

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.0

I'm in the process of fixing the issues you guys have been having. 2.1.2 is not yet complete...so I wouldn't use it yet. The psshutxp thing was just my mistake of leaving a personal edit in and will be fixed in the finished 2.1.2. It'll probably be ready for later tonight or tomorrow morning...depending on what mood the wife is in

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.0

Thanks GC. You know how us children get excited when we get a new ROM to play with I am liking the HD manila a lot. Good work!

Also, both previous builds did not place the "X-VZW-MDN" key with my number in it, even after running your arcsoft cab. No big deal, just one reg edit makes it work. Come to think of it, how would the ROM know my number? Its been a while since I had to do much flashing to get my device how I like it. Thanks again.

You shouldn't have to run any cabs. As long as you include the Verizon Arcsoft package and the Verizon carrier package in the kitchen, and let customizations run, then it should work.

Also, volume control works over here. Are you cooking with Large Title Bar and Enlarge Start Menu?

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.0

even if 2.1.2 has some issues I have not experienced any issues at all. It is actually a smoking fast rom and for a clean htc rom based off th ekitchen it is completely awesome. Great work I've been using it for a day but no problems so far
