The smart tracker app says its initializing the GPS but never picks it up. Is there something that needs to be done to get the GPS to work

i was abt to ask the same question abt smart tracker, i tried it to see if it works and person that sent me the message didnt get anything back and i didnt get a email, can someone post the link to their websight so i can read abt it somemore

If the phone is unable to acquire a gps fix, it will not send a message. You can look at the debug file from within the app to see what is going on.

Is there anyway to disable the rev a icon? Its causing problems with the custom taskbar I install. I just want it to show the EV icon only.

I've never had a problem with smartphone tracker...I usually install it myself..never had it cooked into a ROM. I will test the baked in one and let you know how it goes.

Could the archived posts not be dumped ina read only thread ? There is more info on this one thread than anywhere else... I am not trying to question your motives. Removing 'lol / 'I agree' or just 'Thanks xyz' can and should be purged, but where people have cabs / support etc posted yo uare encouraging more chatter / new posts / repeat replies / angered old timers etc etc... with having to repeat all that.

Mike - I welcome your idea of compiling the most useful info... but good luck I would rather have you concentrate on newer / better ROMs that get carried away by keeping the thread shorter etc.
