What program are you trying to use, google maps or Microsoft Live Search or what? If google maps, did you click on menu then Use GPS? I need some details to help you out.

I would like to risk doing this for the first time. Can anyone give me a simple walk thru? Please. I am a little scared I am going to do some thing wrong and screw up my phone. I have a Sprint HTC Touch Pro. Also, any sugestions on which is the best rom to switch to would be great also.

step 1. Read the thread on flashing your phone
step 2. Re-read the thread on flashing your phone
step 3. Read and do the hard-spl unlocking thread says to do
step 4. next, attach your unlocked phone to your pc, activesync it, and then run the ruu to flash to mike rom

it is a sprint phone, but i'm using it on cricket... and i didn't know, and have never heard about conditioning the phone to work with a certain radio??

other than having it unlocked...

Unlock, Run RUU, and done. Just make sure you hard reset(start > settings > system > clear storage) after you have succesfully flashed. Why? It is known to fix some minor glitching. Shall be done afterwards



No, the telus radio works with Sprint. It is actually one of the best ones since battery life and signal are both good.

There are a lot of radios that can be use with HTC Touch Pro(CDMA. There's a thread over at XDA forums but I can't link you since I'm mobile and i'm not patient!

yes the flashing is NO problem for me, that is actually the easy part, i'm more concerned on the *getting everything to work* part, including internet and MMS. i'm just wondering if the cricket cab will take care of ALL configurations to get this to work on cricket, or if there is additional stuff i have to do??
