Re: [3-9-09] KK's Loaded ROM v1.8 Sprint and Others [OS 5.2.21015 Build 21015] [UC]

I love this ROM. thanks KK for all your great work.

Opera Mobile was not scrolling smoothly (relative to other ROMs). And I changed the setting suggested in the thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=678226. After that Opera's scrolling was smooth.

Settings:
in the browser type in "opera:config"
All these are under "user prefs"

Automatic Ram cache: checked
Cache Directory4: changed to my sd card location example "\storage card\cache"
First update delay: 0
smooth scrolling: Checked
tab increase: 7---( unable to find)
Turbo mode: checked

KK: If it is possible, Could you change these opera settings in your next ROM? I'm assuming these settings won't create any other problems, If I'm wrong pl somebody let me know.

KK - What would your thoughts be on replacements for the follow 2 programs, these are 2 programs/features that already exist in the ROM:

Part of the neutools:
http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/Pocket-PC.aspx

htorch - http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueLight.aspx - Has an interface like HTC, has a strobe option too.
BatteryMon - http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nuePower.aspx Also provides the ability to hard reset, keyboard back light timer adjuster

Paul I apologize for taking this out on you, but it has been addressed 462 times. That is not an exaggeration. It's even on the very first post of the thread.

This ROM is using TF3D HD. There is NO LANDSCAPE in TF3D.
I came across this thread about 6 weeks ago when I got my TP. And before I even considered flashing I read every single page to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

I can understand if the whole landscape thing gets missed on these pages. But the fact that it is clearly discussed on the first page where you download the ROM does make the repeated questions about it problematic. Makes you wonder if the next solution if for Kevin to put up a splash screen duration the phone's customization with the landscape warning. I'm just joking!!

Woah bro. Theres quite a bit of people downloading your ROM it looks like. Is there any way for you to tell how many unique downloads you have?

BTW- Great work on 1.8. Still fiddling with it to see how its all working. THANKS A MILLION!

Exclamation PLEASE READ - NO LANDSCAPE IN TF3D is by design.

Hopefully people won't miss this message.

There is NO LANDSCAPE in TF3D. It is NOT broken in this ROM.

The version of TF3D is from the HTC Touch HD. There is no slide out keyboard for that device, hence no landscape TF3D was built into this version. Kevan has stated that he will "fix" it once the TouchPro 2 TF3D has been released and ported over to our VGA device.

PS- If someone could tell me how to make the bolded text blink that would be much appreciated, or is that even possible? Tried using the <Blink> tag, but not so sure if HTML works in the thread.

Thanks for pointing this out for everyone. I do these changes every time I flash to a new ROM, but I don't think most people even know about how to get to opera:config, or that it even exists.

Has anyone tried Oops I'm late? http://www.oopsimlate.com/

It uses your appointment entries in your calendar and GPS to notify who you are meeting with to let them know you'll be late. There is a free ad supported version. Am wondering how intrusive the ads are. Seems like it would be a useful app.

Thanks for the info.

So does this corner clock display alarm info? Looks kinda cool, but would like to have alarm info on screen. In one of the images there is an analog clock with date on it and alarm info off the the side, which I kinda liked. Any idea on where and how to get that one running?
