Kevan, do you think the GPS issue could have anything to do with the radio version? I have radio 1.04.05v. Just thought i'd throw the idea out there.

replace your drivers and the registry that goes with them and you should be good to go

Thanks for the tip. I just tested a build with a different version of gpsid_HTC.dll and the problem appears to be fixed.

I have tried loading the spl, and it goes into the error also. Is anybody else using Verizon having the same problem?

My partners phone was having the same "communication error" when trying to flash from his laptop, it would start go tricolor, activesync would double beep and 30 seconds later the error would pop up.

The fix:
Run the unlocker program from ANY other computer (we used an old dell desktop) and from then on it had no problems flashing from his notebook.

Not sure if its usb settings or what, but thats what worked for us.

I reinstalled Activesync on to my computer, which got the spl and the ROM to load. Thanks a lot.


I just installed the DCD Vzw Carrier Cab to get verizon network to work. Do I need anything else to use the phone on the verizon network.

okey this rom is definatly the TRUTH,and im using a vzw tp.everything is 100% for me,the only thing still is MMS,kk i've got Gc's arcsoft vzw mms installed and no luck so far.I've searched xda and ppc geeks with no results and i know u said u needed to get your hands on a vzw tp,i just wanted to know if there is anybody else in here using a vzw tp that actually has full functional mms support.

this rom is solid, lots to like with it. But I've noticed my battery life isnt what it has been using other roms.

Is this because the tweaks are not n it? Or does it have to do with that taskbar program being installed? I always X out of programs, but when I was checking out all the programs that are in this rom, I noticed that program still had them running.

Anyone else notice decreased battery life?

Hey kevank

Been playing with your newest ROM for a few hours now, I must say GREAT WORK !
Runs quick/snappy and smooth. Couple of questions though...

1 - In Landscape mode (when keyboard is pulled out), when selecting the All Applications (touch option), it does nothing (Does not bring up the list of programs).
Is this a setting change I missed? or a glitch with the ROM

2 - When making or rceiving a call, the screen blanks (turns off) immediatly after the call is answered. Is there a way and/or setting to turn this feature off (e.g. prevent it from turning off/blanking the screen) during the call? As this is causing serious havok when trying to go thru Voice messages

But other than that, GREAT ROM

I have not had battery issues with this ROM. But then again I also installed battery tweaks after I flashed.

If you want to CLOSE an app just by tapping X and not holding the X then just change the settings for the HTC Task Manager. By default it is set to close an app by tapping and holding X, but can be easily changed to just tapping the X.

From the home screen, tap on the upper right hand corner (the Task Manger) and then click on the little wrench. That opens up the settings, then go to the Buttons tab and select "End programs by tapping "X".

Anyone having problems with typing via the slide out keyboard. When typing a text it takes like 2 seconds for the text to catch up to my typing. Is there a reg fix for this?

Question 1: I believe this is an issue with the landscape TF3d screen, not KK's rom itself. I've come across this issue with all roms that have the different landscape menu, the apps tab does not seem to work in any of them.

Question 2: This is a fast sleep option that can be changed using Diamond Tweak, you can find a cab file somewhere in the forums for it. It is actually the first option available to change in Diamond Tweak.

1 - Looks like the all tabs background mod causes this. (thnx to Juggalo for the tip.) I will have to either find a way to fix or pull the all tabs background mod.

2 - Diamond Tweak can correct this. It is installed in the rom and available on the Settings --> System tab.

I was going to flash to mightys rom but i guess ill try urs first. ill let you know how it went. i have had the touch pro for a few months now, and just got a second phone the blackberry curve. i really want to keep the touch pro and get rid of the blkbery, but i need some good rom to convince me to stay lets see if u did it for me lol.

hello where can i find the custom icons for this ROM? like the text message indicator says SMS at top instead of the square mail symbol. Where to find please?
