PRL and Profile updater require a sprint radio in order for the OMC service to interface with the radio and command it to update OTA.

LOL I just copied and pasted from my Diamond post

Juggalo_X is right about the radio tho, with the Telus radio, I could update PRL but update profile needs a sprint radio to work

I have been using the Verizon radio for a couple months now. I know for a fact that either on the 1.0 or 1.1 version of the kitchen that both updaters completed... I say completed because I can't verify that they actually did anything but I wasn't getting the errors.

That said, I'm not overly concerned. I know the updaters are a big issue with a lot of us Sprint users so I was just wanting to confirm it was or was not working. I might swap radio's just to test the idea though.


EDIT:

Ok swapped back to the stock radio and I am still getting the same error for both updaters. /shrug I dunno why. It's possible it is something i might have changed in the kitchen although I can't think of what that might have been. I didn't remove any reg edits.

I think is some sort of data issues in 1.2. I have been having to turn data off and back on to get weather to update and sometimes to get internet to work. It shows I am using data but everything kicks back as not having a connection until I manually turn off then on the data. Plus the fact that data still seems to stay on.

Just to verify though, I am going to flash a rom from 1.3 without any of my mods just to eliminate something I goofed up as the problem. I can't think of anything i would have done though that would cause issues but it's very possible regardless lol.

When making or receiving a call, the screen blanks (turns off) immediatly after the call is answered. Is there a way and/or setting to turn this feature off (e.g. prevent it from turning off/blanking the screen) during the call? As this is causing serious havok when trying to go thru Voice messages

There are 2 ways of doing that

Change the time interval when the screen turns off

HKCU\ControlPanel\BackLight
LightSensorToScreenOff


Or disable that feature without disabling the light sensor completely

HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL
EnableFastDormantDisplayDuringCall

I am not experiencing none of those issues, as my data has always worked fine, update weather happens if I go to the tab and internet has worked every single time I have used it, so it might of been something your changed/adding that is causing that
