A brief run down on what i do, and im sure someone has a better way of doing it.

1. run caulkins kitchen.
press 3
press 2
click files and shortcuts and click import cab.....
now, accept and click back to oem info.
click on use ffffff and then generate id
fill in info and click create oem
now, this will create a file but it will be in a folder called OEM, one level above the original OEM folder. You will need to double click on the extracted kitchen and you will see the new oem folder. Copy its contents into the files folder of the kitchen.
Now back at caulks command line prompt, you can press m to go back to the menu. click 3 again but this time click 1 to convert oem to ext package. After this runs you can move the folder to the shared folder of the ext folder or the folder specific to the rom your building under the ext folder. the next time you run the kitchen you will see your package depending on what you named it and it will already be chosen and added to the packages file. (I found this to be automated unless specifically set to false...)

This is how i do it and i would love to hear how others do it as well!!

HTH

Re: [ 10-3 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

I have been using the ppc kitchen for some time. It is very easy to use but I have heard good things about Caulkins visual kitchen. I have downloaded it and I was wondering if there is a guide for using it that someone has written. I know that I can fill my way around and figure out quite a bit but I still am not sure if I am doing things correct. Also how do you use the nueSpinLockPatcher? and if you are using 6.5.1 do you need to check the Real WM 6.5 AKU box?

Re: [ 10-3 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

to change the soft keyboard, you hold down on the keyboard button until the menu pops up. it took me a while to figure out how to quickly change it when 6.5 removed the arrow beside the button.

i meant to post this a while back. if it helps just one person, cool. if not nothing is lost.

Juicy was the only one to port it and fully map the keyboard over to CDMA and he's not giving it up.
I use his EzInput2.0 from his 090530 Kitchen and they work great.
Get both the IME folders: Engine and Keyboard.

-I put them in EXT\Touch_Pro\Common\Packages\
-I also turned several dll's into Modules. Working for me.

Re: [ 10-3 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

Can anybody help me? everytime I install a new 6.5.1 rom. it works good for a few hours and then this happens. I have tried 4 different roms and the problem persists. I really like this new Calkulins 10-3 so any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.

actually, he's using the old IME engine that works for the touch pro combined with the new ezinput. i've been cooking that combo into my roms for months now. it works great. both soft and hard keys work flawlessly.
