Re: [ Jan 3 \ OS 5.2.21109 v1.1 Preview ] Calkulin's Kitchen v1.3, ROMs & Cabs

Is it possible to get a list of exactly what 'registry tweaks' does?

Navigate to the OEM folder, open the "Tweak - Registy" folder then open "mxipupdate_Registry_Tweaks_1.provxml" with a text editor.

There's a lot in there. "Calkulins Touch Pro Tweaks.cab" also has a few tweaks for TouchFlo in it.

Old or not, it's fast, and everything works as it should. With these new builds a higher build does not mean faster or better.

I can confirm the clear storage isn't working. It looks like a dead link but i have not looked into it any further yet.

@ Calcu,

I have confirmed (thanks to Conflipper) that the GPS issue is due to the GPS drivers you are using. I renamed the GPS driver folders (gpsdriver.dll and gpsid_HTC.dll) so that they would be skipped in the build and replaced the .dll files of the same name from eRices kitchen. After building the rom and flashing, Sprint Nav is working and so are Google Maps and Live Search when selected to use windows default or GPS Intermediate Driver.

I have no idea how to make them into modules like you did for the other drivers but oh well, I will leave that to you

Dern, I wish I had checked here earlier before I flashed my "final" ROM.
Can't keep flashing forever
Good job tracking down the issue. Even though it doesn't bother me I'm very tempted to drop them in and cook just so it's working (:

-edit: I just made a .cab to install the files I got lazy.

Oh what the heck..
It doesn't bother me either except that I like using Sprint Nav. There is no setting in that app to change to com 4. It only looks for the windows default or intermediate driver. Unfortunately, with the GPS drivers Calcu had cooked in, that wasn't working. Com 4 works just fine for Google Maps, Live Search and any other GPS app that you can select the com port but Sprint Nav you can not do that unfortunatly.\

FYI, I didn't see any performance difference, good or bad, with either set of drivers so it should not effect the usability with either driver. The only down side is that by adding the drivers in they won't be cooked in as a module unless you know how to turn them into a module and I don't. Anyone care to teach me?
