I've found several posts and several settings, but no matter what I do, I cannot get my power settings to stick (Settings>System>Power). I've edited in the OEMVersion.rgu, used OEMizer, and made my own EXT with my backed up power settings, but no stick. Any suggestions?

Your reg might be getting overwritten by a provxml. You can build you reg into a cab and have it run with Autorun or RunCC.

Anyone ever had a problem w/Opera opening up upon first boot and then randomly thereafter?

Try these bro.
Still Sense 2.1 correct?

These will stop Opera from starting with device and fix the error can not find URL when ran. Opera will only open when you run it and it will open to Google.

28205 is the fastest build I've yet used, with the best battery life - BUT(!!!!!) - it's really flakey with HTC dialers (tried Rhodium, Tachi, Quilin, modded Leo): gets hung for several seconds after call ends, dialer scrollbar nastiness... So if you don't use Sense or Manila it's great, but otherwise I have to recommend 23518.

23518 has threaded e-mail, Office 2010, and battery life is not as good, but overall a fantastic SYS, also my current choice.

Been trying to do a 28205 / 23518 hybrid - 23518 threaded mail & Office 2010, with 28205 battery & speed - but haven't achieved total success yet. Anybody here got that working 100%?
