Re: [ Jun 23 ] [ v2.0 ] [ 21051 & 21815 ] Calkulin's Kitchen & ROMs
ahh so I duplicated efforts with No2's tools.... wasn't too positive, but was kind of suspicious when I saw the apps in the tools folder! The modded 21501 i built runs great except i'm having a nasty time with active sync.... progress bar just sits there, it would connect and disco at first. if it's not one thing, it's another. can't wait til xx820 kitchen comes out!

can anybody cab up for me the tsowentaskbar 6.2.1 oem thats in calks kitchen? its cuz i install it from the original thread but it also replaces the start and "loading" icon (you know, in 6.5 its 4 dots, red blue green and yellow if im not mistaken, and it replaces it with the 6.1 spin wheel) and i dont want that....
unleesssssss, some one is able to do a cab for me that includes the tsowentaskbar 6.2.1 taskbar and the htc logo, without replacing the loading icon? |

+1 on this... I'm a flash-aholic, but want to try to make my own ROM. Are the instructions for the PPC Kitchen the same as they would be for this kitchen?

Re: [ Jun 23 ] [ v2.0 ] [ 21051 & 21815 ] Calkulin's Kitchen & ROMs
Well.. I'm really new to this, but I've built a couple working ROMs out of this kitchen last night and this morning by doing this:
1. Downloading and unzipping the kitchen to it's own folder. 2. Clicking on the "Calkulins Touch Pro Kitchen.cmd" 3. In the command window, pressing 1 and hitting enter. 4. Selecting or deselecting the OEMs you want included in your ROM. 5. Hitting the "play" button at the top of the BuildOS window. 6. When it finishes, closing the BuildOS window and letting the ROM compile. It'll take a bit, then if your phone is connected via USB, it'll auto-launch the RUU and start the flash process! You might hit a few snags while BuildOS runs if you create conflicts between OEMs (two options that do the same thing), but you can fix that by just finding where you made the conflict and undoing it!

If you want to cook something into the ROM that isn't in the kitchen, you'll need to either track down the OEM for the program and then drop it into your OEM folder, or use the included "OEMizer.exe" to convert your .cab file into an OEM.
