If you Verizonize a Sprint TP, does everything work perfectly on it? I think I was told that you can get GPS up, but when you do, the phone is unable to operate at EV-DO speeds. Is that correct, or does a Verzonized Sprint TP flash and operate fully without any loss of functionality? I like the TP, but I don't see why I should buy a VZW version when I can get a Sprint version with better specs and flash it over.

Any pros/cons with going VZW TP over Sprint TP?

My Verizonized Sprint TP works perfectly. I have usable GPS, EVDO, etc. The only thing is you have to use a modified PRL to get rid of the roaming indicator, which is more cosmetic than anything.

I'm guessing it wouldn't be any different with the Alltel version. I was thinking about getting one of those to replace my VZW TP.

Pretty much, only I don't believe you would have to change the MSL on the Alltel version. Sprint versions can be had for cheaper which is why I went that direction.

Yeah but I find the Alltel one to be more attractive from the pics I've seen. Might be worth a few extra dollars as long as it isn't too much.

I'm actually using bored's rom with my verizonized sprint touch pro and all my gps apps are working.
