Hey Confliper, this is the first rom i have done on my pro and it is super fast so far. I just started messing with it and I like it. I do have a question, I like the City ID program and have installed the cab. The only problem is that when i initiate it it asks to download the database, after clicking yes if downloads and then asks again.... its like it is stuck in an endless loop. I did a soft reset and tried again, same loop. I also tried to disable tf3d and update it but again, stuck in the same loop. I like the feture and would like to know if you have any ideas? otherwise, thanks for this, runs great!

Yeah something is messed up with city id. it is like it depends on another alltel installed program, i am still trying to narrow it down. i am working on it and once i get it figured out i will let you know. I am glad you like it.

I love your rom as well, all I have to request is for a gsm/sprint landscape manilla rom or maybe a link to the cabs file to install over the alltel one (and the default black large start menu) that is installed by default

Install Diamond TF3D Config and knock yourself out with the manilla skins man, that's just small petty stuff. It's an Alltel rom, hence the Alltel manilla theme. I skinned mine with the nice Alltel coffee skin Conflipper made in another post (love it & thanks by the way Con).

Hey Con, do you think you could maybe add a different font, possibly Comic Sans? Oh, and give me a boot screen that plays 30 seconds of Amazing Grace? How about an AM radio, since the FM one doesn't work yet? I'm totally kidding by the way, I dig the rom, looking forward to future releases.

Any particular java build you recommend? I'm running Esmertec 20080912.5.1 right now via a cab install, but it has its hiccups. When using Opera Mini 4.2, it likes to stall from time to time, and locks up. Normally it blows Opera Mobile away in rendering speed, but not now for whatever reason.

well i can get a AM radio, but reception is not good. so i just dont use it. I mean with bettter reception maybe. haha. everyone i am kidding.

Now being more serious. Java i am still playing with. it is interesting that it works via cab. it was working, i am not sure what broke it.

Different font is doable. but you can do that yourself if you want. I am working on tweaks. here, gonna head to bed soon. then get up and work tomw on it. 20954 sys and build, i am not to fond of. I hate to always jump different system to. I would rather stick with something that i know is going to work. so i am going to stay on 20759 for a while yet.

Hey Con,
Ok I have been playing with your newest version. Found a couple of things.

1. There is still a slight memory leak from Opera.
2. I have been having an issue with the landscape in Opera. I open a page and then switch to landscape and it goes to the home screen. I can duplicate it on demand. I'm trying to verify if it is the Opera build or something I have loaded after flashing.

Other than those your rom seems very very fast and stable. I increased the page pool to 40 before flashing and I think it has helped with the overall speed. If I find anything else I will let you know.

Update: It appears to be something I had installed on the Opera issue. I did a hard reset and started over. I haven't located what was causing the issue because I didn't load all of the same things. If I figure out what it was I will post for information.

I am working on this the best i can right now. I had something come up at work, and i am stuck there all week. it will be a big check. so i will be tied up there a lot of this week. I am working on it though. I have a few more features in there.

I have a few different thing that I am testing now. converting a few other dll, and programs to modules to help with speed and performance. so it will take a little bit of time. but I think it will be decent.

I just ask for a little patience while I am working this week.
