There is a 51716 prl out now. Is there any interest in modified PRLs anymore? I no longer use my Titan, replaced with a Moto Droid, so there's no reason for me to modify these anymore unless people out there still use them. Post here if you'd like me to continue...

I'm definitely interested in an updated / modified prl. I was one of the Alltel customers that recently got taken in by Verizon. When I try to update my prl to a Verizon one (for example the new 51716) it won't allow me to. It only lets me update to the 40059 which doesn't get the same signal strength as the 51716. I am using the new Moto Droid as well.

Thanks for your efforts.

So I've gained access via QPST to the phone. When I go to write the prl version 51638 that I have to the phone to replace 40059 I get a "timed out" error from QPST.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get the prl to take in Droid through QPST?

Thanks.

This PRL is not for you. The modified PRL is for people with Sprint phones that are working on Verizon's service. Because of the Sprint programming, the phone always thinks it's roaming. You are in need of something else.

This is because Verizon wants you to switch to one of their plans. If you're still using an Alltel plan, you will not be able to get the new PRL over-the-air. If you ARE on a Verizon plan, call them and tell them the problem.

If you have enough knowledge... use QPST. You'll have to get diag drivers for the phone more than likely, and need to put your Droid into debug mode from what I've read. (Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB Debugging)
