I use Ivan's rom on my Verizon Touch Pro and it works great.

That is the big point there, without having a VZW touch pro, how can we be sure that it is going to work, how do we know that this program or this file wont work with vzw crippled phones. I think that will be a big blockage on trying to get custom rom on VZW Touch Pro JR. Without it being the same specs then it is hard to know.

So I would say you will see very limited ROMS for VZW Touch Pro JR. Except those that have them, It would be a great time for some new VZW Cooks to step up. Learn a trade.

Why not just use the BuildOS rom kitchen?? It covers all carriers. I am confused as to what the concern really is here.

where can a n00b learn to make roms? im a comp sci major and wouldnt mind trying to learn.

best 3 things you can do is Read, Read, and Read, PPCGeeks rstroguy tutorials are great, Also XDA has some great stuff.

The best thing to do is read. and then play around, try new ideas, trial and error works great to. so it just takes time.

Bah. No need to go read all that unless you are seriously into playing. Just get PPCkitchen and enjoy. Verizon Tpro support will be in the next release.

I'm using a Rom I cooked using PPCKitchen... it works well, other than GPS. How are things going to be different in the next release?
