Calling all ROM Masters
 

So VZW has NexVision and Scrosler's ROMS for the VZW Touch Pro. But when will we get the help of the other ROM Masters? We all would love to see the magic of all of your ROMS on the VZW Touch Pro.

You know I'm not trying to offend anyone here when I say this ..... but I think you guys that are on VZW should return your phones and write letters or start petitions to get a better version of the TP . Honestly VZW is a corporation that may only see profit numbers and not consumers..... so they may be looking at this as if it sales why change it .... you guys pay more and get less and that is not fair . When dealing with corporate giants that only see numbers you honestly have to hurt their numbers before you will be heard

VZW has been playing this game for years they are well aware that it pisses the customers off and they don't care. its not going to change anything if you petition or boycott the touch pro.

this isnt there first time around the block with a lesser phone then other carriers remember that. now with that said. who cares what the opinions of others are on the phone. the users have it so rather then suggesting they go be *****y about it and cry. why don't we suggest things that could actually help them guys. telling them to take it back accomplishes nothing for them. they were well aware of what they were buying when they payed for it.

and when i have time ill try to make a VZW rom for you guys see if it helps any.

I think because of the way VZW hosed us we will have limited number of ROMS for the XV6850. All the big time players on the boards are runing Sprint TP's converted to VZW. They dont deal with the limited memory so its hard for them to develop ROM's for the device. Thats my thought.

If I had thought about this more closely before jumping the gun and having VZW send me a phone I prolly would go the route of people like GC14 and get a Sprint phone and convert it. OH well, I screwed this one up. But then again I paid less than $75.00 for a brand new phone with full warranty from VZW so it was hard to say no.

On the other hand, if you look at the device for what it is, its still a nice phone when not standing side by side with its more mature siblings.

Anyways, thats my two cents on development for this.

Because of the difference with this phone I have asked the Mods at XDA to cerate a subforum. Maybe the same can be done here?

You are not coming across as offensive at all. Makes good sense what you are saying. I agree and if I had the pull to ask people call them and complain I would.

One thing I know about call centers, being in the business, if you start trending calls one day for the same issue it will show up on a report "somewhere, somehow" the next day. If everyone calls them and asks why GPS isnt working, hundreds of calls, then it would start to get noticed. We would have to do this day after day and program after program. For example, call them today and say google maps doesnt work. Tommorow call them and say live search doesnt work, the day after call them and say Tom Tom doesnt work. Over and over again... With the user base on this board we could make our selves heard. Juszt requires some planning and thought. Shut down there call center phone switches with calls about Google Maps and Live seartch not working.... Hahahaha....

its not enough though..... we have MAYBE 3000 regulars.... if every single person on this forum had vzw (bout 150k) and left em, it would be a tiny smudge on their records

So far all I've run are Sprint ROM's. It only requires a few tiny changes and a carrier cab from DCD.

In in to stop playing some games you have to quit .... so that why I said that maybe the vzw customers that are here should quit playing the game .... so now am I to get the impression that demanding a much better product makes me a kitty ? I am not a very passive person and please believe if this was sprint I'd along with half of this board would be on the warpath . Put yourself in their shoes... picture if this was telus... look in the mirror and see if you feel like a kitty because you want more
