There is a chance you will have to export your NV files then review that instead of straight from the device. I looked at every single item that had a GPS label and didn't see any of the values I see in my backup copy I made while I was exploring.

This non-functional GPS has me scrathing like a meth head. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've already converted my Sprint Pro to Verizon, but I have a Sprint Diamond still. Would the settings from the Diamond help you?

Both would be great. If not too much of a hassle. Especially since the TP works on VZW. If had had both I would know if your VZW TP has the same entires, then aslo know the stock sprint setting from the Diamond.

I can't seem to find the information you're looking for. The only GPS related item I could find in the QPST configuration screen is a tab that says "GPS One".

When connect in QPST you need to hit the "phone" dialog at the top and then save VR files. I need a copy of that file or the values from the items I posted.

PM me. I have what you need, but I'm not posting it here, since it has some info embedded in it that I don't want to post.

I'm ready to try any ideas with QPST on my Verizon TP. I have the Telus radio loaded now (but could switch back to Verizon or to some other radio if needed), and I'm running the stock Verizon ROM and likewise could change to a different ROM if needed.

Someone mentioned the PRI potentially being where this is locked. Forgive ignorance, but what is the PRI and is it viewable with QPST?

The PRI is what locks the GPS. It's basically a programming file for the radio. If you are not fimiliar with QPST and these features I would not suggest messing with them without specific instructions on what values to change.

I do have a sprint Touch pro working on Verizon. I am familiar with QPST and have functioning stand alone gps. I believe my device has the 1.47_003 PRI also. To get the gps to work at all I had to manually select COM4 and baud rate 4800 in google maps instead of windows automatic management. Let me see if I can export a few keys here...

As an edit, how do I save VR files? I clicked save and can not find them in the /bin folder where the rest of my backed up files from QPST go. I am kinda new to the process tht you described here. any help? I would love to help contribute here for once :D

Try saving it to a different folder such as "My Documents" to see if it's actually saving.

Re: Sprint Users I need your help!!! Verizon GPS Discussion

I have a Sprint Touch Pro on Verizon with the Verizon ROM. My GPS appears to work sporadically, but when it functions it works great with instant locks and 8-10 sats. When it doesn't function it simply won't initialize in Google Maps or Live Search. I've installed the GPS provisioning CAB that was in one of the diamond threads and is referenced in the Sprint to Verizon TP tutorial thread, and I've also done the QPST aGPS hacks from the titan.

Interestingly enough, I had my best luck getting it to work when I was on US Cellular towers in rural Iowa.
