im sure you enjoy the VZW touch pro. but any user who has used SPCS and VZE TP will tell you the VZW on isnt as good... its nicer to boot with 150 MB of free ram rather then 60 MB

Cool Re: VZW Users Willing to Chip $ In for Cooked Rom?

Sprint service is great for me and I'm in NYC. And if I am inclined to do so I can switch my phone to roaming and I'm on Verizons network. The best of 2 worlds. I have free roaming which I think most sprint people have. The best decision I ever made was to get out of Verizon and switch to SERO

LOL, BY FAR the best decision I have made was to dump sprint & their terrible coverage (that I lived with for almost two long years) & switch to vz (& I travel all over on business).

I do agree vz's phone selection sucks, that's why I'm using a sprint TouchPro on my vz account.......

Re: VZW Users Willing to Chip $ In for Cooked Rom?

You guys really have no clue what your talking about if it wasn't so annoying I would be laughing switching your phone to roaming does not allow u access to Verizon's network and no matter what your phone says unless your area is deemed a disaster area all Verizon's towers are not open to you only the standard which is implied in the roaming agreement I really wish people would do some educated research before opening there mouth.

A great and oh so true quote

PRL would be what merits you to rom on another carriers tower, if im not mistaken. so like nex said roam only will not do this unless your prl permits this, your carrier uses VZW as a roaming partner and your areas coverage for your carrier is a total mess.

Re: VZW Users Willing to Chip $ In for Cooked Rom?

It is a little more entailed then PRL but your on the right track it has to do with tower software dap information and stacking. All the necessary information is provided by the carrier and pushed to the tower every couple days hence y verizon makes it so easy to update your PRL cause they expand there roaming agreements on a daily basis to alot for more towers and PRL updates are necessary to see these changes. So first the carrier must replace the stacking chart on the tower then push out a new PRL. One without the other is like having a condom and no b**ch or a b**ch and no hard on.

Red face Re: VZW Users Willing to Chip $ In for Cooked Rom?

Didn't know that thanks Nex and Jug for the education. Really thought got verizon towers all the time. Didn't want to start a fist fight lol. Just don't regret switching to sprint. But I really hardly use it for phone calls.
