Can someone confirm whether or not this has the texting issue as well; the one where it doesn't mark messages as read? I'm curious to see if it does. I'm a huge texter and that issue just bugs the hell out of me.

huh? It should pull up a file picker screen. Not quite the same screen as before, but same concept. Screenshot or description of error, please.

BTW, once you get the picker...choose the "Create a New Project" tab...

You didn't download everything you need. Use updater.

Interesting, but no, that won't cause a problem other than the pagepool requested won't be set.

Old selections.txt files will not work.

Remake them by creating a similar base in the new buildos, then cut-and-paste your selections (using a text editor) from the old file to the new file. Do not copy anything other than the long list of selections at the end of the file.

With the update pushed this morning, this error is now handled gracefully.

The fail to flash bug should also be fixed.

Not booting is still an open issue.
EDIT: found the issue...will have the fix up in about 45 minutes.

Try, try again. if that doesn't work, try again. and again.

When you give up, you can download it manually from http://ppckitchen.org/Downloads

You can't do the updates manually, unless you reinstall buildos. One of the updates IS buildos.

Yeah...ok, the problem has been resolved. updater wasn't being told the updates were available. It now knows.

The issue with 20755 should be fixed as well.

If anyone tried 20924, that's fixed too.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

GGURUUSA,

excellent. Just ran the updater. It seemed to grab everything, including the 20755 ones.

I suspect I should go in and "recompile" my build again to take advantage of any fixes.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen-- Error

I used the updater and I got an error after I launched the Kitchen.

I then uninstalled everything and reinstalled with a fresh download of build OS and then used the update and selected the entire Herman files.

Both times I keep on getting an error that says:

"Error while reading group configuration file.
XIP Filename= Herman_1.03.651.3_20924.enc.bin
Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero."

I feel like I am making a really obvious stupid error.. Can somone advise please.

I reread the tutorial but I can't seem to find it.

Thank you very much, now it's running like a new car. :headbang: Just finished building a test rom and it's a go ! I builded a rom with ease. Thank you very much. Since I am new to building roms, where can i go to learn more? i want to put my own cabs and do auto run, stuff like that.

That's an older file you have. Try updater again...be sure to get the Herman Kitchen core (or base or something like that)

If you're getting that from an old selections file...you need to remake the selections file.

But I just downloaded it fresh right now from ppckitchen.org

Is ppckitchen.org working properly, cause now I am trying to download build os again and its giving me an error.

Yes. I was just updating it. Try again.

It looks like you are trying to run a selections.txt from an older kitchen. Use the Create New Project tab to remake the selections.txt. Old selections.txt will not work.

..you might be best off deleting .../projects/*.* and .../projects/groups/*.* before you install buildos.msi

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

I had trouble updating the kitchen so I uninstalled and installed from scratch.

Everything went fine until I actually tried to flash the new ROM. I got to 88% and it stopped and eventually timed out and gave me an error. I slowly kept on eliminating programs from the kitchen and after about 11 more tries I got all the way up to 96% but it would not go any farther than that.

Not quite sure what I am doing wrong. I had to flash back to Hibby's 1.7 to get it up again.

Failure to flash errors are caused by an error in ppcbuildos.exe. If you get the latest buildos.msi or run updater, that should take care of it. The .msi will definitely take care of it.

So has anyone flashed the 20931 sys?
If so, how is it running?
Recommend?

I have flashed it. It is pretty stable. The only thing i noticed about it that TouchFLO 3d restart itself a couple of times, besides that it's running great. I recommend it.

I still haven't gotten my flashing working yet. I did all the updates and it goes all the way to like 88-94% and times out... ugh so frustrating.

But yeah, I noticed the TF3D quitting unexpectedly in the previous kitchen. Did anyone figure out what the problem is?

Either run updater and let it download a new BuildOS.exe or install the latest BuildOS.msi.

So the issue with TF3D crashing and restarting is resolved with the new kitchen update?

I know nothing of tf3d. Last I heard it seemed to be weather related.

Hey GGURUUSA , is there a way to fix the internet icon that is displayed in the tab? THe internet globe picture looks like it was cut/paste on with black border around it. Thanks

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

OK. I finally got it running and flashed.
I actually had to install the kitchen on a totally seperate computer and it worked.
Funny that my old computer (I had previously flashed about 50 times on it) simply would not work right. I ran the updater. I tried removing it and reinstalling it from scratch. I manually deleted all the folders and then tried reinstalling it... still would not work.

Anyways, it's working now. I installed TF3D and so far it's fine. (I didn't try installing any weather options)

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

Quick question:

I've been an avid BuildOS user from my Apache and Mogul days. You guys ROCK and have made me the envy of all my PPC toting friends.

So I just got the Verizon HTC Pro.

1. Where can I get a stock Verizon ROM just in case I mess up my own one.

2. Do I need to do any radio updates/unlocking specific to Verizon? I recall this being the case when the Verizon version came out (always later than Sprint) in the Mogul line.

3. Has anyone successfully flashed a Verizon HTC Pro?

Thanks..

-Eric
