Ok, I downloaded Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037 and it asks me to review the readme file. But when I click on "View Readme" I get a message that file can't be found. What does this file say? Will unlocking my phone and / or flashing the rom disrupt my service with Alltel. I won't lose my phone number or internet service will I?

Hello, I am new at this and would really appreaciate anyones help. I am trying to install the SSK 1.5 ROM on my VZW Touch Pro. I have alreaday successfully unlocked the phone. However, when I try to load SSK 1.5, I get an error saying:

Error (240): File Open "The Update Utility Cannot Open the Requested File. Please check your update utility."

What am I doing wrong? Your help is greatly appreciated!

I have tried all the instructions, but the problem is when in goes into bootlader, the pc doesnt see the phone. I tried the USB to PC, unchecked & still doesnt work. Im really fustrated, as I have been trying to do this for at least 6 hours. Help me get the PC to see the phone in bootload. Thanks

I cant get activesync to work on any of my 3 comps with this new touch pro i am running xp i downloaded all new reinstalled 3 hundred times activesync whatever i give. So flashing from sd card is interesting i cleared my card and move the renamed RAPHIMG.NBH to the root i click phone into bootloader and it finds image real fast and says ""Loading..."" been about 30 mins still hasn't budged. i tried 4 diff ruu_signed's im using sprint, this sure is diferent than my 6700

I thought my issues was Fat format of SD card so redid to Fat32 no difference Im not upgrading to vista anyone know the solution to this wacky dilema? Thanks.

I'm trying to flash through my storage card. I can't flash via PC because I'm at work and don't have activesync on this computer.

I'm currently stuck in the 'update in progress' for about 20 mins. Should this flash process take this long? I renamed to RAPHIMG.nbh however I didn't format my microSD card since it wasn't in the instructions.

I have a similar question to the one posed by Eph445 recently. I've read all the stickys and most of the posts in this and other threads but nothing seems to address the issue of carrier specific customization of the phone. I have an Alltel Touch Pro. What will I need to do to get my phone on the Alltel network? Does this happen automatically over the air? How does the phone know what its phone number is? For example, when I do a hard reset, it goes through a lengthy customization in which the messages displayed have file names that include "alltel".
I've done a number of customizations of my phone (mostly using Diamond TF3D config & Advanced config) but flashing the ROM seems to be at a whole nother level.
