sprint htc touch pro fm radio - Page 5

inrespect to att, their fuze is the same as the euro touch pro just a without the frontfaceing cam and a us band radio. the fm radio is not in the att rom. my wife is useing the fuze on t-mobile so its unlocked and i flashed the stock touch pro rom from htc, thats the one with the fm radio built in. I might flash the t-mobile uk rom on there just for kicks to see if she likes it.

But seriously this would be pretty cool to get working. Is the current thinking that the radio is physically disconnected? Or its just not enabled in the kernel. And if its not enabled in the kernel, if we get Android working on the Pro, does that mean we can also get the radio working.

Android uses an emulator to boot a linux (android) kernal, I believe. So it would be a different kernal its accessing.

I could be completley wrong, however LOL

nope, no emulator. it completely takes over the phones execution memory.

this is correct, HaRET is a bootloader. and it just loads into memory a lot like loading linux temporarily on a pc via usb drive or cd.

but it is a different kernal than the wm os rom so fun things may happen still (emphasis on MAY)
