What did you do between the flash and your soft reset? Try a soft reset 2x in a row... sometimes if I fiddle around too much, it takes to trys.

eRice I know you said you weren't going to fix the sprint TV problem, but do you know if its possible for me to fix this before I use build OS? I couldn't find the oem for Sprint TV in any of the folders. If I install the cab I have after the fact sprint TV works fine.

Also is there a way to put the Sprint Default communications screen back instead of the white one?

This is the OEM I use... can't really remember where I got it from or if it was already in the kitchen. I do not take responsibility for creating it, but here ya go... it works fine. Just unzip and copy the folder into the OEM folder of the kitchen. Hope it works, and hit "thanks" if it does! ;)

BTW - The the phone is unlocked.

After I cooked it and flashed...it rebooted...came up and everything was fine. The problem is if I ever....EVER...want to soft reset the phone again ...it will lock up at the boot screen. I've tried both immediately after the flash and after waiting about a day...same issue.

you say it sits on the touch pro spash screen for a " minute ", just how long is that minute ?

ive been sitting on that screen for over 10 minutes. ive hard reset twice, tried the herman ruu, and even tried a fresh cook and reflash.

ive been building and flashing roms for about two years and have been messing with this kitchen for over 2 hours, whatever, went back to stock, until there is a kitchen that works.

you added something that the phone doesn't or you modified something in the kitchen that is causing it not to boot. not the kitchen's fault, it's yours, as it does work for me and many other users.

watch your tone if you hope to receive help in the future from people.

eRice,

Do you have a donation area or can I buy you a beer? This kitchen has made my job so much easier... and its damn fun.

Let me know.

I had a very similar problem. After using the rom for a while it would slow way down and become unusable the big problem was that a soft reset wouldn't clear the problem. It would persist after a soft reset. On one occasion I waited a long time after the soft reset and the problem cleared up on its own. I went to great lengths to disable any customisations and I stopped several of the services and background applications with no luck. I finally had to move on to PPCkitchen WM 6.1 20931 kitchen. I really didn't want to drop this rom because it is absolutely perfect with the one exception that it becomes unusable and requires a hard reset to clear the problem. I have searched this thread and you are the only person who has mentioned a similar problem. I just wanted to let you know that your not alone and if you find a fix I hope you will post it here.

Thanks
