All of JD's ROM's are awesome...That's all you need to know :)

Check out Post 1 to get an idea of what he has removed and replaced. All in all JD's ROM's are faster and doesn't contain a lot of bloated crap that gets installed. Other than that, he keeps them pretty stock, which is great compared to a lot of people who customize ROM's to their needs and the programs they use.

I would recommend his ROM's to anyone.

EDIT: Grammar was messed up a bit...

His TF3D has a different background and different icons (nothing fancy that looks like he loves cats or crap like that). It's pretty much Sprint stock manilla.

Haha! +1 on it working well. I increased the Page Pool to 12 and it was pretty quick and I had 136MB free. I just increased to 20 and re-flashed and I'm just now waiting for the customizations to finish.

One more question before I flash...does this include the normal start menu icon or the vista orb? I read somewhere that you included this on your touch roms.

I used the cab that I downloaded when going to www.sprint.com/powerdeck and then clicking "Click here to check for new updates" and then "Download PictureMail.cab"

Remember to do this from your phone.

now try a soft reset, I am downloading right now so give me about 30 minutes until it finishes dl'ing and flashing. I will try Picture Mail first for you. Has anyone else flashed to JDTP3 already and have PM working?

Got it working here...Installed without any problems or soft reset prior to installing. The only thing I installed prior to PM was Google Maps.

If you read the thread, you would've noticed that it does nothing on the touch pro ;)

I read it, but I did notice a difference increasing it on JD's ROM from 6 to 20.

Of course it's all relative and it may actually not do anything but make me think it's quicker. Everything's usually in my head anyways.

JD I saw you were playing around with FM radio on the diamond, and got it to work. Can you try doing the same thing with your next Pro Rom? I'd like to see all this debate about FM radio not being possible put to a rest once and for all.

Re: JD's ROM

Hey JD. First off, mad props on your continuing hard work. I have a question that I never saw answered earlier. I too tried to take your rom and using DogGuy's kitchen, I removed some of the OEMs that I would never use, like the RSS app, Streaming Media, etc. I can successfully build the rom and flash but the customizations will get stuck at Running... and will never progress. Can you help me with what I may be doing wrong? I just removed some of the OEM apps and then used BuildOS to rebuild then flashed. I'm sure I may have missed a step somewhere... Or feel free to chime in Yay or anyone else who may have an answer.

Re: JD's ROM

it possibly be my problem :(, i just installed PocketShield, and it refuse to lock my device when i cover the light sensor.
late i installed G-Light, to check for light levels, its seems to less sensitive to light and stay on 0 until expose to bright light.

Yay 4 Juggs 11-04-2008 03:28 PM

Re: JD's ROM

there are 5 rss files that need to be removed and 3 streaming media files that need to be removed...can you confirm you have removed all of these files?

What's the pagepool on this ROM? Maybe I missed it.

Re: JD's ROM

I actually removed the OEM folders that they were included in.
