ETA On Customs Roms
 

Just as the title states does any of the developers have an ETA on when your roms will be available. I see the bootloader was completed and now we just need ROMs :mrgreen:. How hard is it to make one of the diamond roms compatible with the touch pro???

swap oem drivers folder. and the diamond rom should boot. if u use the pro xip of course.

but its better to cook one properly from scratch.

I plan on getting the TP soon. I just checked the sprint website and it doesn't show as available and I'm too cheap to pay full price at Best Buy! So...my question related to this thread is... any ETA on a kitchen? I love using the kitchen to build my own ROMs on the Mogul. I tend not to use most of what other people use so I just build my own. However I'm not savvy enough to get after it all by myself..I need the kitchen! :)

use the Ghettofreeryder/TobeyChris Diamond kitchen. it will work just fine.

i would be glad to cook with that kitchen but i dont believe it will work. i am not an expert on cooking ROMs but i do know a few simple rules and i know there are several things in a kitchen that are device specific. if a member of the elite team would come in and enlighten me then i will get to work this very instant but i dont think if i cooked with the diamond kitchen that it would work.

you can edit parts of the kitchen for the Raphael. or, search and you will find kitchens that are already Raphael specific on the xda-dev forums. i kitchen is a kitchen, just make sure you put in the right ingredients.

Is this ROM for the Sprint Touch Pro CDMA, or a GSM Touch Pro?

Edit: nevermind, I saw on the website that this was for CDMA.

Isn't there a difference between a CDMA and GSM kitchens or does it matter?

There's a difference between the ROM of the CDMA and GSM. If you use a kitchen and select a GSM Touch Pro for your ROM, you will be hosed. No2Chem should be releasing something today, so be patient.

He's releasing a rom which is cool but if we wanted to make a custom rom of our own we need a kitchen. For many of us noobs, it's hard to know what we can use or can't between a CDMA and GSM. Was hoping maybe Tobey or someone else might do something for TOuch Pro's that Tobey did for the Diamond by making an actual thread for a kitchen.

I am currently using the kitchen that guru posted here in the mogul forum and I LOVE IT! I'll be stoked when he puts one out for the TP. (hint hint!) ;)

Do you qualify for an equipment upgrade? cuz if you qualify for an upgrade you dont hafta pay full price at best buy. many people have reported getting the device for $250-$450 depending on eligibility (1 vs 2 year) and the 20% discount that was avail until today :-(

As fas as the kitchen goes, it will prolly be avail soon after the flood of custom ROMs begins...

sweet. i just came back from blackbbery. these custom roms and kitchens are what brought me back. i couldn't stay away. i cant wait. i'm unlocked and ready to load.
